Jeez, that's some story re Cody.  I can imagine him fly kicking a dude Jet Li style in the chest actually.  That blackmail is crazy though.  No point paying $20,000 when the content of what's in the video is already out there lol.

In other news looks like Cody Walker is in some strife!

The South Sydney Rabbitohs are aware of an incident involving player Cody Walker which took place in northern New South Wales in October 2019.

The NRL’s Integrity Unit have been informed.

At no stage has Cody Walker been the subject of a police enquiry in relation to this incident.

The Rabbitohs will be making no further comment on this matter at this stage as it is part of an ongoing police enquiry instigated by Cody Walker himself.

    wwos.nine.com.au/nrl/rabbitohs-cody-walker-star-goes-to-police-claiming-blackmail-south-sydney-nrl/db8d46b6-790e-48ea-bb0d-bd15effdddea

Says he was allegedly in a fight and kicked a man in the chest.

Rabbitohs star Cody Walker has gone to police to report a man who he says is blackmailing him over damaging video footage involving the South Sydney five-eighth.
Nine News reporter Danny Weidler broke the story tonight after Walker informed the police that he had been asked for $20,000 to stop video footage of him kicking a man in the chest from going public.
The Rabbitohs and the NRL Integrity Unit are aware of the incident, with South Sydney acknowledging it in a statement released tonight.
"I first became aware of this story yesterday evening and approached South Sydney about it today," Weidler said.

Rabbitohs CEO Blake Solly said he had advised Walker to go to the police to report the incident.
"Walker has spoken to police and claims that he was asked for $20,000, and told that if he didn't pay it, the video footage would be sold to the media.
"I have spoken to people I trust who have seen the video and it shows Walker involved in a fight and kicking the man, who is standing upright, in the chest.
"A person says Walker's name, which is audible in the video.

The NRL Integrity Unit is investigating the incident."

The story has two threads, with Walker likely to be asked to explain the original incident and also how the alleged blackmail unfolded.
The Integrity Unit investigation puts a cloud over his immediate future as the Rabbitohs prepare to resume their season against the Roosters on Friday week.
Troy Dargan the most likely replacement? Better not put Latrell there, he sucks at 6.

Oh, I get it now. Surely Mago won’t be starting yet. I didn’t want to get rid of Kerr either, alas not enough money to dump Musgrove for anyone. I think I’ll just start again. Thanks.

Yep, sorry chaps, I had read that too but I was being stupid and dyslexic (per normal) and I'd read and understood it as Tyrone Peachey to FB.

Very interesting if there's a new young fella to slot into the halves. Also makes Ash Taylor a bit more appealing as his workload and sense of responsibility likely increases.

I also like some of you guys saying you'd keep Kerr too. Please keep saying these sexy words and help me believe he's named for round 3.

Fogarty is 26 - like Walters, one of those players who haven't really played much NRL. Did very good job in State Championship final last year before bottling it right at the end

    I am gutted.

I don’t think Wayne would throw Dargan into it with it gonna be a massive and hostile game. He may name Dargan there but Latrell to 6 I reckon, AJ to fullback, Goodwin to centre keeping Campbell on wing and Sironen onto interchange as he can play anywhere in the forwards and has filled in at reserve grade level at hooker, 5/8 and centre.

I've only seen of that Cody Walker story what is printed here, but you seriously reckon he'll be out of the game for a while for that? Sounds like one of those stories that will get blown way out of proportion, every man and his pug will moan about how bad every single NRL player is and that they're the scum of the earth... and then it'll pass.

It's not a great look, but I'll be surprised if too much comes of it in the fullness of time.

Wouldn’t shock me if he gets 2-3 games out at all.

Behaving like this he certainly can’t be apart of the leadership group for mine.

Hahahaha how good south shitney! Some real culture setters amongst the boys at that club. Facetime dramas, social distance dramas, kicking a man in the head at a club. Wow. That leadership group will definitely lead them to a premiership lol! lol!

Thoughts on JTB vs Flegler vs Guler vs Kamikamica for a FRF cash grab? I'm punting Musgrove and have plenty of cash in the bank, but if I go cheaper with JTB or Guler, I can use the extra cash to get a genuine gun in for Croft, maybe go early on Teddy or someone like that

I wouldn't take 2Kamica at the moment with Welsh back. Melbourne's front row is stacked. Guler looks less attractive with Bateman back soon and Horsburgh more likely to take big prop minutes. Flegler is a benchie with Lodge back. JTB... wait and see with teamlists, but Ah Mau injury likely good for him.

Yeah fair enough. ATM I'm on JTB pending news on Ah Mau and Tevaga, and that frees up a lot of cash. Now my problem is whether to hold Croft or sell to a gun this week. I have enough cash for anyone in the game, but want a half or WFB since I'd otherwise have to play Luai.

Thoughts on who to go for? I'm thinking of going early on Tedesco, as despite his high BE, he is a final 17 player and the goal this season is to get them in as early as possible due to no Origin.

Mind you they aren't the only ones with hundreds on the beach in a news article I read the other day but they're high profile so they need to be mindful of that which of course they aren't because as you said they are dumb.

On Aubusson I'm sure he'll stay as a starter as the coach loves him but if there's a change & he starts on the bench I'll have to make a change. I could from a cash angle get Grant & play Wiliame in round 3 because he's up against the Warriors so should do alright & then get a ctr with my 4 trades in round 4. I was going to turf JTB for Grant but this LAM & Tevaga news means JTB will probably remain in the 17 & gets decent minutes.
