Was thinking the same thing bro. Might just go Fifita to teddy

The only thing holding me back is the thought that I will need a lot of spare cash to get Cleary in once he's back, and then Fifita when he returns as well (didn't start with either one so no worry about selling them). On the plus side, as my side is now, I have all of Haas, Lolo, Arrow and Teddy, so I'm definitely not short of guns, plus Arrow is a huge POD at only 3.8% owned

Thanks for the response mate. Maybe my time committments ease up a bit. I'll be honest though, right now it seems a waste of time for me to continue. I'll do my best. Hope you are doing well mate, and your Dad!

I have a solution....pm me your login details & I'll run your team & later on if you want to play fantasy again you can re-take over your team. I have plenty of time on my hands so you'll be helping me out as well.

I've got enough money to sell Croft to any player in the game, and I figure getting a final 17 player right now is a decent play, due to the lack of Origin and no need to bye plan. Plus, getting Teddy early seems like a bit of a POD move since I doubt many top teams have him and won't be able to afford him for a while.

I think a gun WFB is a good call with changes to origin planning. It's anyone's guess who goes on a run of scores, could be Turbo, Teddy, Ponga, RTS. Personally I'm going with Turbo

You missed out Holmes who with the Cowboys draw for the next 2 games could outscore all of the above. He only has a b/e of 38 for round 3 when they play the Titans & is cheaper than all of the above at 616k.

I like the Holmes pick but for some reason am very cautious. Although Titans!, can’t go wrong surely.

With reduced trades, I wouldn't be picking up guys just for a couple of games of form.
They either need to be making you a lot of cash, or staying in your team for the duration.

    Top 10 f/b's for the 2 rounds:
    Ponga - 777k - 64.0 ppm - suspended
    Cotric - 518k - 60.5 ppm - his role/position may change with Rapana back
    Nofoaluma - 721k - 57.0 ppm - gun but pretty expensive
    C. Thompson - 560k - 50.5 ppm - word is Doueihi at f/b so CT on wing
    Drinkwater - 470k - 48.5 ppm - Cowboys with good draw next 2 games
Isaako - 536k - 48.5 ppm - gk & strong running game but Eels & Roosters will be tough
    J. Hughes - 605k - 48.0 ppm - plays for 1 of top teams should score well in halves
Mansour - 488k - 47.5 ppm - how will Cleary out affect him but still a beast
    S. Katoa (Sharks) - 492k - 47.0 ppm - will he start with returning troops
Lomax - 449k - 45.5 ppm - imo been very lucky the first 2 rounds but vs Warriors round 3

Anyone going to sell Papenhuyzen. He's been pretty uninspiring the first 2 rounds scoring 40 & 32 points & in my team only Luai, Shiba, JTB, Watkins & Wiliame have scored lower than him & he's been outscored by the likes of Rudolf (they're actually equal in points), L. Knight, Walters, Mann & B. Brailey. I'd say if I did a points per price analysis he'd be my worst player.

Well that was a refreshing break from the forum/game. But after I bring up my team today I think I need another one. Two suspensions, two injuries, one departure, one player likely to be dropped and two underperforming players.

I'm willing to back Papy to do better, those two games were against pretty tough opposition, and for a base of ~30pts with huge ceiling, I'll hold that all year if I have to. Even Teddy and Turbo can score in the teens, but Papy's workrate is nuts.

I didnt really want him all pre season, but now that hes there, i wont be trading him unless its a luxury upgrade down the track.

Storm will be in and around the top 4, im sure he will remain servicable, just takes one big game to boost the average

Pretty tempted to offload him into someone like TTurbo and then maybe hold Fifita and do some unspeakable things with him on the bench....

Why would you loop with 700k+ player, pretty high opportunity cost as you just sell to gun that would get points for your team

Not considering selling him at this point, but I am really wishing I had the cojones to follow through with my pre-season prediction of him being a dud

Honestly because I don't want to see him come back for round 6 and burn another trade getting him again.

There's only really 3 players I want to turf being Knight, Watkins & D. Fifita but there's about 6 players I want to buy being Yeo, Twal, Watson, Isaako, Turbo, Grant. Of course my funds available will dictate who I buy.

There's no guarantee that he'll be playing 80 mins on return as they'll be full strength by R6 with TPJ returning from suspension and Lodge from injury

I guess that's the big question as last season when Broncos were full strength TPJ was preferred 2RF starter but Fifita has busted a lot of tackles since then. I think there's no doubt that they'd be 3 better keeper 2RFs (Jurbo, Bateman, Arrow, Taumalolo, Yeo???) if Fifita wasn't guaranteed 80 mins
