There's no guarantee that he'll be playing 80 mins on return as they'll be full strength by R6 with TPJ returning from suspension and Lodge from injury

I guess that's the big question as last season when Broncos were full strength TPJ was preferred 2RF starter but Fifita has busted a lot of tackles since then. I think there's no doubt that they'd be 3 better keeper 2RFs (Jurbo, Bateman, Arrow, Taumalolo, Yeo???) if Fifita wasn't guaranteed 80 mins

Yeah very true. Given it's a knee injury on a young bloke there's every reason why you'd ease him back in anyway. Straight swap to another gun might be the way to go.

I didnt really want him all pre season, but now that hes there, i wont be trading him unless its a luxury upgrade down the track.

Storm will be in and around the top 4, im sure he will remain servicable, just takes one big game to boost the average

Same approach from me. Took him because the downside to not owning him was too high, still don't like the pick but much bigger problems. Will likely be a final 17 WFB for most, so one less position to worry about for me

Out of all the players you’ve named I don’t like any of them to hit a ton this year. Pappy will hit one this year and I’ll be happy to have him around when it happens

Crappy loop option since Broncos play the first game of the round two weeks in a row.

Who is likely more urgent out of Magoulias and Grant? Grant I feel I could hold off another week since cows generally make majority of their bank from game 2 onwards, but Magoulias could only get a minor role to start with

Thumbs up = mr magoo, thumbs down = Grant pls

They either need to be making you a lot of cash, or staying in your team for the duration.
Yes I think just as important is the final draw of who each team plays twice going forward for your keepers.

If both are named to start, you need both within your 4 trades this round. Are cheap and will provide serviceable scores in your 17 each week.

Reckon there is some real fantasy wishful thinking going on with people thinking Magoulis is going to start.

Yeah reminds of a situation last year although I don’t remember who.
I’ll probably go Grant and JTB as my two cheapies come Round 3

my other 3 trade ins are Katoa, Watson and Turbo. My only half depth is Walters who probably plays 14 and Luai so I'm punting on Watson or maybe a cheaper option like Flanagan come TLT and I have no depth in my backs (literally playing Wiliame and Lomax in centres and Kennedy will lose his spot most likely so need Turbo to field a full 17)

I think bench role with limited minutes is most likely. Then bench, decent minutes. Then not in 17. Then starting side.

I've got enough money to sell Croft to any player in the game, and I figure getting a final 17 player right now is a decent play, due to the lack of Origin and no need to bye plan. Plus, getting Teddy early seems like a bit of a POD move since I doubt many top teams have him and won't be able to afford him for a while.

Yea I’m planning on bringing teddy in. He is a POD weirdly to the top guys. No one in the top 20 has him (quite a few have Ponga). Couldn’t be arsed checking further but it’s probably true for the top 50 teams.

Does also let me play Drinkwater in the halves which is good because only other option I had was Luai

NRL coaches usually have their own ideas about team selection and tend to stick rather than twist so until Magoulis is actually picked in a Cronulla 17 I'm not going to start counting him in.

TBH we haven't seen what is going to happen at the Tigers yet either so Grant is in the same boat (although given the hooking stocks.....)

At this stage the two warriors forwards look like the only semi sure things for round 3!

I have no idea what to do with Fifita (accept it's a trade but for who or what position).

    Bring on TLT
