‘Apparently’ it’s not what it looks like. He was trying to ‘break up’ the other two blokes, but because he had just undergone a shoulder recon he couldn’t use his arms / hands! lol!

Has to get a few weeks surely. And a chat from Wayne.

This season with less trades is going to get really interesting, quickly if a few hookers become must haves, because other than I think MS with Cook, I don’t think any of us are holding the big 3.

I just worked out I only have 4 players I’d like in my final 17 Embarassed

I think we will all end up with quite a lot of players not normally in our final 17 this year.

We don’t have too long to play with to be messing around with 2-3 week punts, as Milch said earlier

The lack of "guaranteed" midseason/Origin/bye cash cows is gonna bite harder than we can expect I think. Cash flow, creation and manipulation are going to separate a lot of the teams I think. Will need some injuries or similar to get those basement cash outs and spot kills that we are used to.

Of course the flip side is that players we would normally need to trade out (or at least consider trading out) we won't have to. Swings and roundabouts!

This is the main concern for me, getting my final 17 together ASAP. I'm getting Teddy in this week, and already got Haas, Lolo and Arrow so that's 4. At the moment I'm praying that my horde of cash cows can generate enough cash for me to jump at guys like Cleary in 2 weeks and Cam Smith after that.

I was thinking this when looking at my trade plans.

Guys like Koroisau, Friend, Lucy Leilua, Drinkwater, Papenhuyzen, Carrigan are probably going to be final 17 players unless we get some 2019 Haas level cheapie emerging. You can probably only pick a few keepers and work towards them. I think the captaincy options (Haas, Taumalolo, Cook, Smith, McInnes, Bateman) are musts, with guys like DCE, Turbo, Teddy, Moses, Cleary preferable as high ceiling keeper options.

    Yeah that’s the hope.

Likes of Leilua and Horse are nice upgradeable cows for me but beyond them I need a bit more cash generation, but hardly the trades to burn!

I like it. Despite getting 8 moves in 2 weeks and not having origin to worry about, I think it will be a tricky season to navigate.

Maybe the year of the POD too. IF we’re going to all end up with sub standard final 17 will come down to who has Pap vs Nofo or who your number 2 hooker is, if we take Koro as a given.

You’re naming all the players we’d all like but I just don’t see where the cash is coming from in a short space of time.

You mention the big 3 hookers as musts. I’ll be surprised if anyone has more than one of them in the end (IF you also want one of Cleary/DCE and Tolo and Haas)

Likes of Friend and Leilua they need to be upgrade fodder, so fingers crossed a
JTB or Magoulias do enough to fund it!

It’s a supercoach article, but useful injury latest... (most you already know)

If hitting a gun 17 is going to be a struggle, then buying value is more important than buying guns at full price.

Would be nice for Walters to find a 30 point average for a little while longer. Trading him out feels like a waste

Interesting that Warriors may get loan players. Who are the best middle forwards that aren't currently getting a shot due to depth at their clubs? From memory there was a monster prop at Penrith who looks like a real beast?

For sure. Gun scores for discount prices. Solid scores will do over these early rounds anyway

Welcome back lads. Hope everyone and their families have been well

I haven't had my fantasy brain switched on for ages. What have I missed? Less trades? Everyone freaking out over aubo again? Key injuries?

Can anyone give me the last 43 pages in a nutshell basically? Host vs lawrie?

Total trades to 28 (with current subtracting R2 trades). 4 trades for R3 and R4

Key injuries and suspensions are Cleary (2 match suspension), Ponga (1 match suspension), D Fifita (3-4 week knee injury after surgery), Tevaga & LAM injured likely keeping Katoa & JTB in team
