If I'd gone for a cheapie this week it was going to be Weyman. He looks tasty. But as I already have Wicks I thought against it. But I reckon he'll be solid.

I've over-thought this and next week's rounds way too much. Already have two of next week's trades locked in, regardless of what happens this week. Well, injuries to my targets would change things... but pretty settled.

The 2006 POD Champion of Champions: Round 13

This week it's a surprising 75 pointer from Greg Eastwood that takes top place.

    R13 - THE TOP 8 AND THE BOTTOM 4:

    Too-popular player POD's
    The current "too-pop" players are:
    Cameron Smith (in 19 teams)
    Corey Parker (in 19 teams)
    Alan Tongue (in 18 teams)
Hazem El Masri (in 16 teams)
    Steve Turner (in 16 teams)
    Paul Gallen (in 15 teams)
    Jarryd Hayne (in 15 teams)

Former "too-pop" players that have been ditched are:

    Luke Douglas
    Tame Tupou

MrStephenB easily tops the table for Round 13, while Verbal picks up points as the only Fa'alogo owner (out of 6) that didn't forsee his try scoring run coming to an end...

Steve Price and Matt Cooper when both are about to miss a game for origin? Dragons also have a round 17 bye so Cooper misses 2 of the next 3

Origin is after round 17, so Cooper misses one game for bye/origin.
This is round 15 which is a single round. Parker will be back for Price before double round 16/17 !! (4 trades for Origin rounds).

Anyone interested in Grimaldi. He's playing hooker this round & the last time he played hooker was round 10 where he made 44 tackles. In fact he's averaged 41 tackles per game in the last 5 games rounds 10 to 14 so great base stats:
    Round 10 = 44 tackles
    Round 11 = 45 tackles
    Round 12 = 39 tackles
    Round 13 = 34 tackles
    Round 14 = 45 tackles

    Paul Gallen
    Alan Tongue
    Tony Grimaldi
    JT
    Grant Rovelli
    Tony Martin

I looked at Ben Kennedy or Lance Thompson but Grimaldi kicks their butts re tackle counts. I wanted N. Hindmarsh but missing rounds 16 & 17 meant he's a no go. If he had of played 1 of those 2 rounds I would of got Hindmarsh.

Not just played via tackle counts though is it, Kennedy and Thompson far and above Grimaldi on current averages but far more expensive, I don’t mind the punt

That is true but as you mentioned the price of Grimaldi is much cheaper. I'd want Hindmarsh over Kennedy/Thompson so the extra cash going Grimaldi will help getting Hindmarsh. Also as a Bulldogs fan I always remember Grimaldi as a tackle bot rattling off big tackle counts. He started the season pretty slow but as I posted the last 5 games he's averaged 41 tackles per game so he looks like he's back in business.

not a huge difference in coin, Grimaldi much lower floor especially at hooker with presumably less RM tacked on. But if you are saving the cash for Hindy later, potentially well worth it mate. Last 5 game average is 53 so juicy

For some reason that comment made me think of the cuckoo bird. Did you know that the cuckoo bird raids other nests & lays it's egg there letting the new host to raise it's young....it's funny as often the baby cuckoo as a chick is often bigger than the host parent. People think they're are cute but they are bad parents & a parasite.

Coopers last 4 games average is 38 and he's priced at 37, and he misses the difficult Round 17 bye.
Price last 5 average 48, pretty much the same as his price average 47 and also misses 17.
I'm pretty sure I could find a dozen players around the same price that are priced close to their average that don't miss the bye...
