On the under priced guns list for sure. Currently the cheapest of the true keeper tier that includes Taumalolo, Bateman, Arrow, Matterson and Trbojevic. I'd still prefer Murray(lock) and Crichton(starting) in terms of value for money, but one to watch

Thanks for those who were discussing between Teddy v Turbo in the last thread, i too was debating if I should spend the extra for Teddy and most likely will. One thing that's always lurking is how easily Turbo can break down.

After trades this week will give me a decent side and hopefully hold off on trades in the next few weeks for targets like Tevaga, Dfifi, Ponga.

    Koro
    Haas | JTB
    Lucy | Lolo | Katoa
    Moses | Mann
    S.Crichton | Williame
    Drinky | Teddy | Papy

    Twal | Yeo | Carrigan | Grant
    Rudolf | Shiba | Kennedy | Luai

    Looking to improve ctr eventually.

I don’t feel like my team is anywhere near the strength of some others.

    Koro
    Haas, Knight
    Leilua, Carrigan, Katoa
    JMK, Drinkwater
    Aubbs, Capewell
    Ponga, Turbo, Pappy

    Levi, Mann, Brailey, Grant
    Saifiti, Guler, Luai, Shibasaki

    Only 127k in the bank.

Probably Knight and Shibasaki on the block this week

Value for cash, Turbo. He's a great option at his price and output. Great supporting and playmaking FB

Teddy is out and out the best fantasy FB. He's always lurking, great for TBs which fantasy rewards with 3 points vs -2 for a MT. He's the one you want in your team. But Turbo is an affordable alternative

Just rewatched the Titans match, with a focus on Mofo. Their middle did well when he was on, with a huge possession advantage to Cowboys. Kept Lolo in check, looks really fit, missed just 3 minutes of the first half. It was when he was off that Robson scored 2 tries up the middle. They will want him on the field as much as possible this season.

Already been mentioned, but do you have plans to get Lolo in?

To be honest this doesn't look as strong as some of the other teams here - having 5 strong WFB doesn't help too much if the rest of your team is too weak. Croft + Luai is a much weaker halves pairing than just about everyone else.

My halves and centres are weak I could skip teddy and turbo and Strengthen them but I'm thinking going Reynolds to partner Croft once he bottoms out

In isolation I don't mind Reynolds as a cheaper alternative to Cleary/Moses/DCE. I personally don't agree with having 5 playable WFBs, they have proven over many years to be worse options than having an extra hooker/half/second rower. In a shortened time frame it could pay dividends, but over a 20 week season I feel like there are better options

I've got a similar team to you and feel the same. I'm stuck with JMK in my halves. He's just lazy compared to other hookers which pisses me off even though he scored okay.

If I were you I'd play Mann for now and flick JMK and anyone else in your dead weight list to upgrade your 2RF or get a better half.

But you're biggest concerns are 2RF and Half. Levi and Grant are a good combo to start your bench and you have a very strong backline

Knight 100% needs to go. Can probably hold Shiba.

Knight and Guler can become Yeo and JTB or you can straight upgrade Knight to Fotuaika.

Aside from that your halves also need some work.

Thanks mate, i like what you're saying.

Grabbing Turbo does allow me to grab capewell instead of Crichton so considering it.

Just not sure if i'll be able to fund Teddy later on down the track and miss out.

Lil short on cash for the first option.

    Can do something like this

    Knight > MoFo
    Brailey > Munster
    Shibasaki > SCrichton
    Guler > Fogarty

Couple of cows that should provide some cash and Crichton provides the WFB/CTR cover.
And a couple of hopeful keepers in MoFo and Munster, Munster also goes someway to fixing my halves.

    Thoughts?

Remarkably, Grant(c) could be an option against the Titans. Walters on the bench would make the C a bad call, but otherwise Robson scored 2 tries against tired Titans ruckers....Grant should carve up.

Just thinking that if the game scoring stays this way and the magic number stays low, then cash generation for cows getting 30s will be slower than usual.

Saw a bit of training this morning. Murray was at lock. Lowe left SR, Sua right SR and then Knight was defending with the bench.

Mago was doing fitness so not looking likely to play. Roberts training with B team.

Wasn’t there for more than 20 but its crazy how much better the team look with Murray in the middle. Hope this is what we see this week against Storm.

From a guy at Souths training this morning.

Regardless of team lists today starting pack looks like

    Tatola
    Cook
    Tom
    Su’a
    Lowe
    Murray

    Interchange:

    Knight
    Nicholls
    Sironen
    Amone

I am not sure Fogarty is going to be a great cow, but we can live in hope.

Otherwise it looks OK, TLT dependent

Ponga/Cleary/DCE/Matterson/Cook/Bateman/McInnes are all options for me to consider getting in the next couple rounds. I will be able to grab 2 in the next 2 rounds and then might be a week or two of downgrading in order to get a 3rd.

Given how well it worked on the weekend, I'd be surprised if Walters doesn't stay on the bench
