With initial prices at the start of the season, a fantasy point costs you $14,529
With the increased scoring since the restart, its down to a bit under $13,000
If you look at the BEs in the first post of the thread, the last column, "value" is the difference between their current price and an estimate of what their price will settle in if they maintain their current average
So if Chris Randall could maintain is current average of 72, he'll make almost $700,000. he's probably not going to do that from outside of first grade, but if you ignore the outliers you can see who is likely to gain you the most money from a purchase.

An average of 40 will get him 130k+ over three weeks, potentially more pending Sims' return. If he maintains good form he'll keep a bench spot and hopefully keep hitting 30s. Obviously Dragons are unpredictable as a team but Fui has looked good when he's on the park and has his chance now to cement a spot in the 17
Sims was diagnosed as a 4-6 week return. People see his comment online and start freaking out, but seriously it's just a player 'hoping' to be back sooner. I'd rather trust the diagnosis.
Once Fui makes his cash, would be an easy switch to Latrell once he hits some form - or Hoppa, or anyone else who starts showing consistency in CTR
Best has a great BE and been playing well, but his high tackle and metre count are unsustainable. He'll make an easy 100k just by averaging 30s, but you can also save 100k by going Fui instead who also has money making potential by being in 2rf
The main concern on the forum was a tweet from Sims saying that he would be back sooner than the 4-6 week. This is what players often say... IE: Bateman , so take it with a grain of salt. I'm personally taking a punt and hope he gets an extended run somewhere in the team and makes a little cash, while the other cows make cash as well so I can do my WFB upgrades down the track. I'm not convinced regarding Latrell, and Best will have a low scoring game somewhere down the track (he also has an injury history).

Pretty sure Moley also said Taumalolo wouldn't play.

That is a good point. Fui isn't just a potential cow, he is also a decent centre scorer for at least 3 weeks. 130k for 3 weeks of 40s is good even if Simmsy is miraculously only out for 3 weeks (unlikely). Didn't realise he played centre in R1 which skewed his scores a little.
Welltrell might have to wait a while

Issue for me is Fui is a definite trade out in 3 or 4 or 5 weeks time. At the moment i'd like to avoid adding players who I know have to go again soon, already got Paix who has a similar shelf life.
I mean, other problem is, he may not even start this week or next.

I am a cynical Warriors supporter but I don't know if a hiding vs the Cowboys is a given. The teams we have lost to sit 2,3 and 4 on the table. I don't expect us to win since we can't score points, but I haven't seen enough from the Cowboys to suggest they will give us a massive hiding.

Lots of reasons to get a different CTR from Fui:ytsb wrote:

1. Not going to be a keeper - Sims will replace him when back within a month
2. In a poor performing team in Dragons
3. Team is changing every week
4. Coach can get dropped any week
5. There are good likely undervalued keeper options available in Mitchell and Best for $100k more, or slightly more again for Capewell, why waste a trade?

I'm thinking of bringing in fui and best and passing on jtb. But if I do that chances are I won't be bringing jtb in for the rest of the season. Its annoying knowing I missed the boat.

That's right. Latrell is a do or die option who might very well make 150k WITHOUT necessitating a trade out.
If Mann is named my hand is forced a bit because I can't do Drinkwater --> Latrell and Kennedy --> Tedesco. I still rate Latrell over Fui just for the huge potential upside

If people want to venture over to the thumbs up/down thread and smash the thumb icons, I'm sure that would help myself and a few others.

Losing his spot is more the worry for me than the 3/4/5 week shelf life. I'm actually more keen on the paix/fui type player to make quick cash and facilitate guns quickly in the shorter season over a slow burning musgrove
but beating out host and ford doesn't sound too tough for 3 weeks
I think I'm just going to go "welltrell" now and forget centre is even a position in the game for a while and ride the latrell 15s and 70s. He's due a try this weekend to get the ball rolling

I am doing it. For some others it is too much risk. Everyone is going to have a different opinion but nobody knows what is going to happen. Too many people on here (not saying you) only go for a trade if they get consensus from everyone else that it is good, yet we all get things wrong non-stop like starting the season with Musgrove.
Just weigh up the points on both sides and go with your gut.

Does anyone rate Tabuai-Fidow a decent chance of being a Fantasy-relevant winger?

I'm in that boat too mate. Can't get them all and our reasons for hesitating were justified. Reflect on your logic and reasoning not always on the outcome in a game like this

I agree. The temptation with Fui is the quick cash grab though, knowing he will be replaced isn't important in that regard. The thing with Latrell is he can only get better from here (there's no way he scores like he did in rounds 1-3 in the long run) which is exciting, and Best is the 'chosen one' being on Ponga's preferred side.

Yes, Hampton scored 4 tries in 3 weeks on that wing and he has far more talent. From base price, the only way is up.Holy Moly wrote:Does anyone rate Tabuai-Fidow a decent chance of being a Fantasy-relevant winger?

*mattnz incoming*
He's another highly touted outside back (usually a fb i think). probably not going to rack up TBs like a Sivo.. bonus is he is on the Cows left where Drinkwater/Holmes attack, and he will probably need to score tries to make good money. Likely to have a low floor.
First proper league game against men this week.
EDIT ahhh he's already got in!
