I don't expect us to win since we can't score points, but I haven't seen enough from the Cowboys to suggest they will give us a massive hiding.

I think if Hiku is a late inclusion for us, that will be a bigger lift than people realise.
I'm still not expecting much aside from some great 1v1 match ups. Cows should win this one.

    RTS vs Holmes
    Katoa vs Hess

If Lolo starts at 13, I'm assuming McGuire goes back to prop, Molo back to the bench and Tom Gilbert drops out.
Cooper probably starts over Dunn too.

The promising thing for me re: Latrell's upside is the 'number of runs' analysis explored earlier in one of these threads. Latrell is no doubt in fat camp and will only get fitter, and him getting more runs per game over the past 2 weeks indicates the team has a bit more faith in him and he is also more involved in attack. He also didn't have a spaz out (that I saw) last game in a losing side, which is a good sign. It's naive to think that just because Latrell has had a shaky couple months he's suddenly 'lost it'. Last year he was the best centre in the comp, he hasn't magically lost all his skill in the few months he's been off.

Also missed the boat on JTB. 36% ownership but I think a lot of users on here missed him. His first two games weren't much to look at - with the season return I was weighing up bringing either him or JHop in as they both ended up with starting spots. Went with the latter with the 80min 2rf role - just unfortunate Broncos suck and changed their whole team, would've got another week or two of 80mins otherwise. Then JTB scores a try and gets 50 points in base.. and Warriors keep getting injured making his spot more secure every week

The game changes constantly, you just can't get them all and hindsight will kill you

Arrow in doubt, I fuckin hope he plays, he's my main point of difference against the top teams. If he's out then I lose a lot, especially compared to those who held Lolo

Fui if named will make a lot more than Wiliame making nothing. If I do make the trade I'll know for sure if Fui is starting at least

Carayannis says Tevita Funa will debut for Manly tonight on the wing (in place of Taufua, i dont actually recall what happened to him)

He's another highly touted outside back (usually a fb i think). probably not going to rack up TBs like a Sivo.. bonus is he is on the Cows left where Drinkwater/Holmes attack, and he will probably need to score tries to make good money. Likely to have a low floor.

First proper league game against men this week.

EDIT ahhh he's already got in!

Those bringing in HTF are you playing him. Most of you who bring him in will probably have him in EMG so if he goes gangbusters you probably won't get his score and will get a small cash gain; whereas, those giving a week may see how he plays, wait for him to either bomb or flop and if he bombs get him in at a negative BE and still a clear underpriced cow.

Hope he nails it. Would be really handy grabbing a good cow for base price with decent job security (if he does play well)

I'm waiting for next week, will be on the loop when in my team. Catch the good scores, miss the bad ones.

Losing his spot is more the worry for me than the 3/4/5 week shelf life. I'm actually more keen on the paix/fui type player to make quick cash and facilitate guns quickly in the shorter season over a slow burning musgrove

I agree with this - took Paix over Clark for that reason last week, don't blame others who did it with JHop, wouldn't blame anyone doing it now with Fui. If they're cows you're axing them eventually anyway, so shelf-life doesn't matter than much. So long as they aren't all finishing up all at once.

I'd be inclined to take Fui over Mitchell, who presents his own risks at 125k more, except that it's already too sad watching the Dragons this year for me without them potentially influencing my Fantasy team as well.

Would it be dumb to pull the trigger now and trade Hess to Teddy and Drinky to cashy.. Gun and cashie is the name of the game isn’t it ? Hess might not see 80 ?

I don't have much confidence in HTW being any good.

Everyone wants him to be good because he is cheap and he scored some tries at the nines, but its really just hoe that he'll actually put up good fantasy stats.
Not that Talau or Averillo suggest that they'll be much better

HTF definitely waiting a week, I think he's going to be very try dependent, almost needs one in first game to get scores going?

For me I think what makes him appealling is his speed. The way the game is going he could find some great open play. Also Drinkwater and Val love attacking down the left edge. Hampton has been getting a lot of good ball down that edge. In the last 2 weeks Drinkwater has thrown probably 6 long balls to his winger (3 were intercepted)... HTF gets on the end of those and its bye bye.

I was looking at him before. His last three scores are 78, -1 (injury), 58 against Titans, Panthers, Raiders... at 613K and a BE of 45 he has pretty much bottomed out.. Could be a very cheap option at half who can average 50 and has a decent ceiling to partner your Cleary's or Moses's

It surprises me absolutely nobody has mentioned him (until you lol). Williams getting rave reviews at 695k, I'd take Pearce at 613k any day.
