I was actually thinking about posting if Turbo goes large I'm not going to complain about it so here is the post.

I've been feeling a bit neurotic because never been this high ranked in 7 years of playing at this stage

    Lol good joke

Bye will definitely save some trades.

I've currently got 11 players I'm happy keeping until the end; Cook, Koroisau, Friend, Grant, Mofo, Carrigan, Taumalolo, Cleary, Capewell, Turbo, Papy. Then a couple of borderline that would be luxury upgrades like Drinkwater and Leilua. That leaves me 20 trades left to cover injuries and get 6 more keepers+a decent 18th man

Assuming about 6 of those go for injuries over that season that leaves exactly enough for one downgrade per upgrade. Going to take more than 1 to get the likes of Haas, Bateman, DCE so already a little short. Then you consider that in an ideal world I would want to turn Koroisau and Friend into twin Cams, grab Teddy and Ponga at fullback, things are already very very tight. With all these free flowing trades we are going to see some final teams that are much less than ideal

... and you’re talking about all the right players too, not centres.

Makes it even more clear with whatever centre you’re getting to partner Capewell, just do it, and just whoever you are OK with staying there. No time to fiddle and try and generate cash in the position. IMO even though minus BE, anyone going with Best are committing to him for the season. Which is fine, but just some realism needed on this one

I toyed with Wiliame to Mitchell myself but then thought fk it. Crichton’s fine and I like the banked trade more than I like Mitchell over Crichton

Holy fuck, now I’m doing it... Bang

Cook is a legit option over Haas this week imo.

Haas maybe get a breather for 15mins when down by 30!

Jorge Taufua ruled out for the Sea Eagles with a quad injury. Options contusion (cork) or strain. Either way was able to finish full game last week, so hopefully minor. Guide for low grade quad strains:
    Grade 1: 1-3 weeks
    Grade 2: 3-6 weeks

I think that's all well thought out. I would add though, that as well as no byes it's a shortened season. Hopefully we'll need less injury cover with less weeks to get injured. I also think you need to keep in contention to some extent with the leaders and hope to hold on. I remember Verbal saying a couple of years ago when he was in the top ten, that he didn't tell anyone at the time, but had no trades for like the last five weeks or something. If you've got trades to come home strong, that's great, but it's also hard to catch up over only a few weeks. I'm not trying to talk you out of your strategy. Just food for thought.

Just spent some free time catching up on the previous thread
Baby safe and sound so finally relaxing in the hospital with the mrs so watch the game on my phone

I love some people’s shotgun approach, throw enough ideas out there and one will be right haha.
Ask enough people for said opinion on the above and you create a confusion shitstorm haha

Was thinking with talk of hunt getting some game time at hooker
McInnes moves to lock and who does that effect...
    Fui to get 50-60mins?

Thinking for my team I might just strengthen the bench this week and buy two value options of mofo,Horsburgh,Mcullough,Robson and let the cows finish milking

Yeah mate it’s more for cash gen as Hopoate and Walters aren’t going to earn shit sitting there. If I bring in Best,Lomax will be moved to NPR where he will stay for cover or until his price rises stop. Here is my team for reference before trades

    18 trades 2k bank

    Cook
    Haas Carrigan
    Yeo Katoa Leilua
    Moses Cleary
    Capewell Lomax
    Papy Turbo Drinkwater

    Koro
    Grant
    Paix
    JTB

    Rudolf
    Luai
    Hopoate
    Walters

I guess I might be falling into the CTR trap and it might be wiser to have cash in the bank. It’s a decision I am struggling with right now

Mate I haven't got time to critque it properly, but I posted earlier today, if I had Capewell and Lomax, I wouldn't be fucking around with centre trades. I don't see Best as a must have. A good score this week though does make great cash though.

Minor bench setup question - Luai or Crichton as the higher ranked reserve (ie who scores more in case they come into my scoring 17)?

I’ve gone Fotuaika for value over Teddy. Because I think he can get within 5-8 points for 191,000 less (13 points)
