Due to it being my first year playing, and some hideous planning got to cover two 2RF spots.

Any thoughts on the best move going forward?

    Turbo/Katoa to Lawrie/Aloiai

    Turbo/Katoa to RFM/ Anyone under 794 (i.e. Arrow)

    Turbo/Luai to Matterson/Havili

Turbo/Paix to Matterson/ McIntyre (Hold Katoa for a week and McIntyre is a cashout)

Leaning to the last option, any thoughts on how to desperately recover a team?

Wow carnage alright. With Katoa, Best and Carrigan out looks like I need to pivot away from wfb upgrade and bring in a centre and 2rf. Will just have to start HTF.

Considering going Katoa to Hors and Kennedy to Talau. Finally will get Hors (about 4 weeks too late) who can be a handy dpp keeper, where Katoa was just a bit more borderline.

Trading Best out is an option, not sure I ever thought he'd be a keeper for me either so maybe now is the best time to sell (at peak?)

Just collecting my thoughts for mytrade in this week.

    My second row is currently

    Katoa, Carrigan, Leilua, RFM

Carrigan is going to stay, but ideally none of the others are keepers and I get in Taumalolo + 2 of Matterson, Yeo, Cricthon, JTrbo, DFifita, Murray

Those upgrades are going to cost a lot though, I'll need to generate about $8-900k or more to do it, or more importantly, have the trades to do so.
RFM has cash to make, and if Katoa comes back fit soon he can make some, but I'm relying on guys like Fogarty, HTF and JTB to make up the rest, and that ignores upgrades to the rest of my team

So is the $80k extra for Matterson/Crichton going to be worth it over JTrbo?
JTrbo is going to hover around the same price for a while, whereas Cricthon/Matterson are going up short term at least

Trade out Luai this week and I can afford up to $767k for trade in (assuming Talau as other trade in)
Trade out Katoa and its up to $924k (again assuming Talau as other trade in)

bring in Tesi Niu and there are more options, but if Niu is going to be good can easily wait a week and get him next week, probably for same price.

That is what will occupy my mind for the next 2 days anyway

obviously depends on your cash balance, B. Sironen, McIntyre at basement price but Murchie could maybe elevate his scoring coming in at starting 2RF to kick start a good price rise.

Some people have a wide variety of red dots whose score they can not get this week

How long is Katoa out for? Murchie appears to be a short term trade in option

Katoa to RFM like me or have you a bit more cash spare than I do then get Lawrie in who I think is around 587k.

I've got Rudolf and Luai, if that helps as potential trade out options

Murchie not a 2nd row option (if you are looking for a trade in for Carrigan / Katoa cover)

If you want some squad depth this season you will need some middies just short of being a keeper.

I see nothing wrong with an RFM or Lawrie.

    But that's a reasonable approach, ... I haven't locked anything in yet.

Munster a good captain choice this week? 68 points last week (with the help of 2 TA) in a losing side, surely a chance he crosses against the Warriors. Or do I play it safe and captain Haas?

Guess this week is a win for the people who built depth and cleared out the red dots.
You never know when a week like this will happen

The loopers running a couple of NPR's would be hurting too or anyone who gambled hard to bring in keepers early with questionable cash outs. Throw in some bad luck and you have this apocalypse

The sword cuts both ways when deciding to hold or sell the likes of Williame,Kennedy etc
Sometimes they return a few weeks later and you kick yourself for not keeping (Shibasaki,Wakeham) but given the size of the bench it is always risky

Down 5 players but Twal + a decent bank should let me plug the gaps.
Have to sit down and think with next week trades in mind too (as it may be better to go 4 middies now for depth vs 2 guns + 2 cows)

Definitely interesting and given how similar teams, no byes and how tight the overall ladder is, this week will definitely shake things up

i meant to say a poor short term trade in option.

I wouldn't be picking him, even if he was available at CTR
