NRL Fantasy Fanatics - A place for discussion of NRL Fantasy / Virtual Sports / Super Coach and other Fantasy Sports
Honestly think with the Tolman and Best examples lately coupled with standard injuries and suspensions we are going to see quite a few weeks like this during the season. Trades going to be an absolute premium and cover in all positions essentialBoozecluez wrote:Guess this week is a win for the people who built depth and cleared out the red dots.
You never know when a week like this will happen
The loopers running a couple of NPR's would be hurting too or anyone who gambled hard to bring in keepers early with questionable cash outs. Throw in some bad luck and you have this apocalypse
The sword cuts both ways when deciding to hold or sell the likes of Williame,Kennedy etc
Sometimes they return a few weeks later and you kick yourself for not keeping (Shibasaki,Wakeham) but given the size of the bench it is always risky
Down 5 players but Twal + a decent bank should let me plug the gaps.
Have to sit down and think with next week trades in mind too (as it may be better to go 4 middies now for depth vs 2 guns + 2 cows)
Definitely interesting and given how similar teams, no byes and how tight the overall ladder is, this week will definitely shake things up
Love this sort of work mate! I hate the doomsayers moaning about rank and the giving up mid season, so annoying! Just dig in. Always a chance, maybe not to win but to finish as high as possible as always.Andy V wrote:For those thinking of giving up this is how the top 9 lines up with red dots. The asterisk denotes also having Teddy who could be an additional late out.

Go on mate!Andy V wrote:If teddy is out then 8/9 need to double trade to field a team. 4th place has it nice about now...
(also a humblebrag I'm in 10th had ulterior motives in looking this up, have 5 dots and no Teddy so him being rested would be my personal preference )

playing in a better team but a history of failed HIA'srobelgordo wrote:Can someone who pays closer attention to the Knights please explain SMat? Is this high 40s average a blip or are they playing a different way that makes it sustainable?
Katoa out has me considering mid-range - SMat fairly palatable because of ability of CTR shift next week when Carrigan is back and I assume Katoa back too

Last year he averaged 29 at 2RF (8 games, 75 minutes)
2018, 1 game, 23 points, 74 minutes

2016, 4 games, 42 points, 80.5 minutes
2015, 1 game, 23 points, 80 minutes
His problems in the past have been getting shifted to centre (probably not an issue) and frequent HIAs (possibly still an issue)
His current scoring his above his previous average - this could be sustainable to some degree given the new rules/style of play
Many on this site have been burned by him in the past and are thus wary of him, but if he stays injury free he's probably a good bet
