Morning all, I'm after a FRF and I did consider Taupau but the perceived wisdom is that he will be cheaper in a few weeks so my thoughts have turned to one of ....

    JWH ($618k) average 49, BE 29 or ....
Matthew Eisenhuth ($627k) average 51.5, BE 36 (only played 2 rounds, is he returning from injury?)

.... both look 'ok' - any negatives on either that would cross them off the list?

You can all avoid Sironen if you like.

He has gone up in the pecking order though and I’ll repeat what I said this morning, Amone is now out long term, Nicholls played like trash and is now rightfully out of favour, Mago is not fit enough to last longer than 10mins out there hence why he’s not in the side and if he comes in at any point he won’t play longer than a 12min stint and it’s why he’s struggled making it in first grade over the years as he’s not fit enough. Really apart from that there is no real threat to Sironen. Last couple of weeks Koloamatangi has also dropped out of our best 21. After Knight comes on for Tom, second change is Tatola off for Sironen. At worst Sironen still gets 28-30mins but I can see Wayne bringing him on for the last 10mins or so for either Lowe or Su’a like he did last week. If Lowe or Su’a go down Sironen would take their spot on big minutes. I am confident Sironen will keep getting 35mins, maybe 40 some weeks. No reason he can’t average close to 30 for now and make a handy 100k plus be a handy 18th or 19th man.

Rabbit makes a great case here.

I wouldn't get either of those players.

I'd be worried about Matty Eisenhuth as he'd probably be benched when Alex Twal comes back.

    I'm 93% convinced

My main quandary this week is whether to use to use the extra trades to clean out the red dots for some playing cash potential or to cash out the likes of Mikaele and Rudolf to grab the likes of Taupau a week early.

Doesn't feel right trading out healthy bodies and leaving the likes of Paix Wiliame Clark in the squad.

    Thanks fellow early-birds.

Of course Twal will see Eisenhuth off - how did I forget him!

I shall revisit Taupau then - I was sold on him yesterday but you know how it goes

He’s moved to indefinite on the casualty ward where he used to be ‘July’

Not that I’ve seen but I found it weird that he was being reported as being back so soon. I said on here 2 weeks ago that he’d said he was 5-6 weeks away so still 3-4 from now. Late July still looking likely

I’d imagine he will end up at lock after easing in and Herman to the bench

If Dally M points were handed out according to fantasy points eg. the top three fantasy scoring players get 3,2,1 points. Also, if there is a draw in first place both get 3 and third gets 1, draw in second place means both second place players get 2 and there is no third and if there is a draw in third place they both get 1 and everything else is the same. Using this the top 20 would be:

    Harry Grant 15
    Payne Haas 14
    Jason Taumalolo 12
    Damien Cook 11
    Ryan Matterson 10
    Nathan Cleary 10
    Alex Twal 9
    Kalyn Ponga 9
    Cameron McInnes 9
    Cameron Smith 9
    Mitchell Moses 8
    Isaah Yeo 7
    Shaun Johnson 7
    James Tedesco 6
    Api Koroisau 6
    Daly Cherry-Evans 6
    Mitchell Pearce 6
    Jack Wighton 5
    Kodi Nikorima 5
    Josh McGuire 5

Harry grant has got the three points in every game for the tigers so far

A lot were scared off due to injury history.

He's now priced higher than his historical 2RF average so you probably aren't getting value. But if you have the funds and he stays fit you can pay for reliavle CTR scores.

Is it worth going Ponga over Ted, if the 40K is needed the next week for Taupau?  Or just go Ted and use the extra trade and get Taupau the week after?

I really cant decide who to get...

Flanagan (I have Croft/Mann currently), Taupau, Fotuaika, J. Trbojevic, Robson/McCullough. It makes more sense getting an FRF as Carrigan can be moved to the bench to cover FRF/2RF.

I could grab DCE if I get one of Stone, Burns, Eisenhuth and kill off the position.

Got taupau and niu coming in for rudolf and drinkwater.
Third trade I can bring in Tohu Harris for Luciano. Head says great trade but I'm wary of his injury history and the fact he plays for a warriors team with not much to play for and tevaga coming back. Thoughts guys?

I'd go Jake or taupau there. Most teams have enough hookers, flanagan imo is overpriced coming off some maulings of a weak broncos team and the dogs game etc. Mofo I'd be worried about a young player carrying a poor pack all season bring injured or rested. Taupau has leaked cash and manly will need him all season and Jake is obviously a gun that hasn't had any or many attacking stats this season.
