If Teddy did get rested, I would just take a bigger risk and captain Munster with no Papy there.

Captain locks out at start of round remember, so if that is your plan remember to put VC on Munster from the start

    NRL Physio re Papenhuyzen achilles

Ryan Papenhuyzen is out for Rd18 to help manage a minor achilles issue. Was able to play full game last week, many players would be pushing through issues like this as season goes on. Sounds like Melbourne taking opportunity to manage load on achilles, good move. Likely back Rd19

I'll probably go Captain Haas with Cleary facing the Eels.
The Eels have been pretty average but tend to lift against the Panthers.

Yeah for sure. Anyone here who has Haas (so most teams on this forum) should be captaining him for sure, no questions asked.

Bump, which way would you go?

    Option 1 = Papy > Peachey

Trade out Papy and play Peachey and Sironen this week while keeping Ponga to return next week

    Or

    Option 2 = Ponga > CS9

Trade out Ponga and play CS9 and HTF this week while keeping Papy to return next week

Either option leaves me with 1 trade, I think I'm leaving toward option 1.

They certainly seem to be typically low scoring affairs.
    Last 5 games:
    PAR 16 - 10 PEN
    PAR 10 - 16 PEN
    PEN 12 - 20 PAR
    PAR 6 - 12 PEN
    PEN 24 - 14 PAR

It looks like there's a pretty good chance that at least one of the teams scores between 10 and 16 points.

I'm more than likely going Pappy to Peachey. Saying that I don't have Ponga but wouldn't trade him if I had him.

I’ve gone Butcher&Mitchell to Haas&Hopoate. Last trades were upwards and leave me no bank.

A good end to an odd season

What do you guys think of this? Before doing anything I have 3 trades and 67k ITB.

Trading out Young to Valemei would leave me with 358k and 2 trades.

    Cook
    Haas, Taupau
    Jurbo, Lucy, Jazz
    Cleary, Hunt
    Teddy, Valemei, HTF

    Pearce, JFH, Starling, Sironen
    Randall, Fui, Pap, Ponga

I could use 1of those 2 remaining trades this week for a decent improvement too I guess, but keen to hang onto Pap and Ponga if I can.

What about getting Tex Hoy instead of Valemei?

    Last trade, looking at either:

    a) Talau -> Hopoate to field 17. Loop Hopoate and Siro going forward.

    b) Wait till Sunday, see how injuries/rankings pan out, then Pap -> RTS if needed, otherwise play 16.

H2H week off, but I'm more focussed on cracking the top 1,000 overall. Currently 1383.

Why trade in Valemi and have $358k in the bank?
Why not just trade in a better player from the start?

You didn't list your CTRs, do you have decent ones?

Randall or Fuimaono to Hynes looks like a better option to me.
If you want to trade out Young bring in someone of a similar price range.

Whats the general consensus around here? Is Ponga a trade? Is Papy a trade? I've got cover in Herbie, Cotric and Hamiso  (If i desperately need) for Ponga and Papy.

I have 18 fit players (1 of which is Randall). I have 1 trade and 179K in the bank. Sironen and Lucy both warranting a trade also, probably in that order. With Dale not back until the finals Tino could keep that Lock jersey for the rest of the season and provide a massive upgrade from Sironen plus give me FRF/2RF DPP?

Tino has 3 more rounds to plead his case for a QLD Jersey... plus Cows (No lolo), Tigers and Dragons in the last 3.

EDIT: I think I have sold myself on Sironen > Tino... just gotta hope Welch back next week doesn't push NAS to lock and Tino bench.. although he is still averaging 40 from the bench and I can loop him in that case.

EDIT x2: Fuck me now I have seen Starling's mug who looks like he has a 70 minute role locked down.

Picking Randall over Starling has really fucked Up the back end of my year. I was a firm believer that Starling would sneak his way into a starting spot over Havili but Randall’s performance and the fact Knights had no other hookers…. So I thought…. Turned me that way.

Doesn't mean much now but the Broncos posted an injury update on all their players. Flegler had surgery last week so won't be back this year, Milford is also out for the season, they won't bother risking hammy.

Yeah I wish I picked up Starling.... as well as SCrichton, Tino, Mofo & Harris.
I've considered picking them up early in the season, but went with other players at the time
