Yes, no HLF cover until he returns, then will be stacked with the Cleary/Moses/Flano gun half trio.Ponga Yeo the Mann wrote:Anyone holding onto Moses?

So due to issues with rolling back trades and stuffing around with my team, Pappy is out of my 17 this week, with Hammer as a starter.
If Hammer doesn't start I can leave him there and get pappy's points. Or I can swap him with SCrihton.
What would you guys do in this situation.
Haha exactly same with me. Rolled back the team last min before kick off and had papy in emg 8 and hammer emg7 with willame in my wfb. If Papy was to go on and score a huge one, I would be forced to trade hammer to niu. 35 is a tricky one. Might take a punt on hammer if he starts. If he doesn’t, no harm done

On making room for Angus Crichton
There are about 10 second rowers that can go really big in any given week. You can't have them all, and you certainly don't want to be trading between them every week trying to pick the one about to go biggest. Just pick the ones you can afford that you think will average the most long term and then sit back and hope for the best.

No teddy last night and still seemed to gain ranks.
161/3 (53.6 per) isn't the best start (Butcher, Papy, Angus) but the average is being boosted by Angus. At least my 1-17 is pretty strong and I am not having to rely on the Crichton's, Niu's and Hammer's to have a big one.

As an Angus owner I get a massive Steve looking at his next 5 games. Although my Steve goes very limp when I don't see Tedesco's mug in my back line.

Need to play 2 of Talau, HTF, Luai, and Niu. Who do you like?
Leaning towards Talau and Luai, but Niu against the Warriors is tempting.

I'm trying to work out Liu, if he gets that lock spot going forward. His historical minutes, PPM and scores are all over the place. He is scoring at 1 PPM off the bench this season, 30 points in 30 minutes, pretty much all base stats.
In 2018 he started at lock 16 times, and in 5 of those games he played 80 minutes! In the other 11 games he averaged 47 minutes. Can anyone tell me if he was actually playing on the edge for those games, while getting named at lock each week? In the lower minute games he was only averaging 38 and that included 3 tries.
He is only $434k and dual FRF/2RF so would be great to work out the puzzle, Could be a great 17th/18th man, straight swap for Kerr next week.

Talau is definite and then Luai and Niu is very close.

Just looking at my assistant coach thread and coming into round 4 I had Angus and Tohu as trade ins, think they were both priced at roughly 690k. I ended up with Murray and Mofo.
There’s 100 points right there. What a cruel game

No tinkering possible
Did a double take after misreading this initially as "no tindering possible"

Really keen on Tevaga if he stays fit. Should be back next week?

53 per isn't the best start??? That's over 900 for the round and out of those you've only had 1 gun play and 2 of them went above their best for the season (equalled in crichtons case) and pap was just under his AVG.

If Butcher stays at Lock in place of Liu and keeps around 50 minutes a game (especially with the upcoming draw) I can see him averaging 50 points. He may have to be a cashout later rather than a possibly cut price 50pt keeper all year.

Yes due back next week. Not sure what minutes he will start off with though. May come off the bench initially, which is a role he is used to.Joey Superior wrote:

Average of 63 in 67 minutes in non-injury affected games as starting lock last season (and was playing injured each week). Should only increase this season when he gets back to full match fitness.
So much value in 2RF in the next couple of weeks, Fifita, Twal, Tevaga, Crichton.
May end up trading Moses down to Dearden when he finally gets a start, to be able to free up cash for 2RFs.

If you own him and don't sell, money lost is not a factor
You only caere about missing points whilst he is out (and perhaps lower points if he comes back at less than 100%)
As far as lost money it's only 39k from what I paid for him Rd 1. I think he will lose more and I feel I've conserved enough trades to look at him again later
