Its funny you say that. I was thinking earlier tonight, we tend to think how we do about players, which encourages us to get them into our teams. When they come into our team, we are even stronger in those opinions than before we owned them.

Yes, will look at buying him next week. Suits the risk/reward that I want to play the game with. Would allow me to do a trade like Moses and Kerr to Angus Crichton and Fermor. Hopefully a double upgrade.

I can see Cook going ballistic against the Dogs as well, so anyone still waiting on his captain's score (not me) can shoot up the ladder.

Fair enough. Maybe I'm down on him because I know I'm not buying him. His job security really doesn't look great though, maybe one for the future.

Not if you traded in Host over Lawrie last year haha that was a major fuck up for me and I hated Host for it

I remember a couple of weeks ago, when Luciano had another injury and from all reports it looked really serious. I didn't actually see it, but I heard an interview with the NRL Physio guy a few days afterwards and he pointed out how deceiving different player's reactions to injuries can be, and how we all have different pain thresholds. Apparently Lucy's reaction to the possible injury a few weeks ago was also quite dramatic and it didn't end up being much. Impossible to say without being on the receiving end, but I didn't think tonight's one looked as bad as others I've seen, even in this round alone. Not that I'd like to cop it, personally. But maybe the kid has a low pain threshold.

Like the NRL Physio guy pointed out, other guys will do serious and sometimes season ending injuries and you won't know at the time because they'll fight to continue playing and in some cases, will continue playing, with a very serious injury. Everyone's wired differently, and that includes pain thresholds and how individuals take certain levels of pain.

Anyway, I don't know anything about anything, but I thought it was a very valid discussion with very valid points.

And don't get me wrong, Leilua may have broken his jaw tonight and had every reason to be in distress, but then you'll get other guys that will finish a match with a broken jaw, or fractured eye socket. There's some madmen out there.

Honestly, if I was a Panthers player I reckon I would have hit BJ tonight after that shot. I wouldn't care if I got sent, I would have tried to break his face. Someone really needs to.

If he didn't have Rugby League he's the type of brain dead piece of shit that would start fights for nothing at a bar, I legit have no doubt in my mind he'd have been in jail by now. Watching the highlights of that got me so angry.

Yeah probably doesn't work so well with the players we regret bringing in. I have tried to fix those kinds of regrets asap, they tend to get traded out the next week, if they don't actually stack up with the reason I had decided to bring them in initially. Has saved me a lot of pain this season so far.... guys like Knight, Levi, Magoulias, Staggs.

Just watched the Broncos players after the game.

I fucking hate the Broncos with a passion in a sporting hatred kind of way. But that was tough to watch. You've got to feel for those guys that openly weep and I hope mentally they're alright. The media really attacking them individually needs to stop as well. They'll be the first to bang on about mental health when it suits but they're really the ones that put the blow torch to the belly.
