Junior Paulo reportedly didn’t return in 2nd half due to backs spasms. Quick recovery, spasms can linger/come & go so restricted minutes may be a risk for next few weeks.

FaringdonSwirl wrote:Best is dead to me so trading him to for RTS or DEdwards - will see where the TU/TD thread ends up on that one.

    Gives me the following:
    Grant
    Haas, JFH
    Jurbo, Lucy, Young
    Cleary, Pearce
    Ramien, Niu
    Ponga, Pappy, RTS/DEdwards

    Robson, Brailey, S Crichton, Sironen
    HTF, Paix, Guler, D Saifiti

Saifiti likely goes if he's out 3 weeks or longer, and becomes a keeper FRF so I can leave JFH on the bench. If Saifiti is only out 1-2 weeks he's a hold. Is Guler the best trade out in that case? Paix probably needs to go too. Guess HTF stays as he hasn't gone up enough in value to cash in. I know 2RF needs strengthened, but think waiting for Jazz/DFifi is the best option. Probably cash out Guler to get ready for 2RF upgrades but no idea to who.

Before trading out Best I'm sitting on 13(2) trades, with 223k ITB. Any ideas/suggestions much appreciated!

Good suggestion but to me Luai v Fogarty is a 50/50 call. If the Titans dropped A. Taylor & Fogarty dominated km's I would play him but it's a tough game against the Storm & if the Titans get bashed he may not go so well. Luai up against the Cowboys is a much better match-up & he could get some attacking stats & they're playing at home.

My 2 cents. You know how I play the game, so option 4 is out, you have trades and you can improve your team with them, so you should use them. I don't like option 2, because you're essentially looping shit with shit most weeks. Normally I'd be all over option 1, but as a Ponga owner I'm very much concerned by the concussion thing and it would spook me a bit as a trade in consideration. RTS is value, last weeks score doesn't really matter, although it's good that his price should be on the way up, because if he gets injured at some stage you'll have better trade options the higher his price goes. I think options 1 and 2 are both good, without the concussion risk I'd lean towards 1 but the concussion thing makes it close. Think I'd still rather have Ponga, but not by a lot.

I think I've sold myself on option 2 with RTS coming in. Last weeks score is irrelevant to the decisions I should make. The question is do I think a 600k RTS plus the cash is going to match 720k Ponga or 920k Teddy. Points per dollar for the rest of the year I think so.

Ponga probably an option next week after 1 more price rise from Herbie/Crichton

I've jumped into the top 50, and next couple of weeks will decide if I can keep my team good enough to stay there, or whether I slowly slide away.

Latrell, Friend, Young, Talau are the players with most dubious short term job security in my squad.

Think I'd like to keep Friend - if he can just stay fit he's a keeper but a few injury concerns in recent weeks.

    Current team is

    Grant
    Haas Mofo
    RFM Jurbo Carrigan
    DCE Cleary
    Crichton Niu
    Ponga Tedesco Pappy

    Koro Friend Robson Young
    Fogarty Hammer Latrell Talau

Taupau hasn't scored over 50 since round 3. Under $600k but is he going to score well enough to be worth it?
Hunt looks good value but in the positions I am least interested in at the moment

Taumalolo, McInnes, Matterson, Crichton, Cook would all be good additions to the team but not sure they justify the cash.

Fifita and Twal on the watch list for when they come back. if I end up with Hunt probably skip Moses, unless he's replacing an injured player

Looks better than my team, You've got gun halves and depth with Fogarty and Latrell on the bench. You could easily hold that team for a while.

I could have to use a trade if this becomes a problem but I'm sure it won't be. Just needle him up. I'm not going to compare myself to a nrl player but I played league for about 5 years with what he had & a couple of tramadol before the game did the trick.

HTF - he's just lacking confidence & playing in a poor performing team doesn't help. I'm hoping has a break out game that will improve his confidence & then he'll be away similar to what S. Crichton & Niu have done.
Talau - I need him to come right soon but if he plays he'll make cash with a b/e of 2
Wiliame - I'm happy to use him for the loop so he's handy & he's too cheap as a trade out. This week I can use him to take the best score out of Young & Fogarty.

This year I've gone for the tactic of getting in guns early so I'll be using my 11 remaining trades for this or injuries.

Sound advice WL. You have made a pig's ear look hopeful in the face of adversity. I am down to ten trades after this round.

Probably got enough trades for one more cash gamble. I'd consider Lucy to Havili with Carrigan into the starting 13. Hetherington will stop you getting a 0 if you lose a FRF/2RF and you can move on Young/Havili in a few weeks. Alternatively I'd be pretty tempted to sit tight this week and see if anything major changes

Best to RTS then Guler out gives me 576k. Can’t do much with that right? Better to cash out than get another mid ranger?
