Round 9 score was 905, with an overall rank of 2,538 (up 1,000 places from last week). 11 trades left and $115k in the bank.

At first glance pre-TLT, options include:

- no trades again (with Crichton and Niu slotting in for Mitchell and Talau). Currently we have 11 trades with 11 rounds to go, so still a bit precarious.
- trading out Mitchell - in one trade we can afford anyone $630k or below; two trades (eg Paix or HTF for a cow) could add another $50-$100k
- upgrading Hess to eg N.Brown or B.Hunt (the latter would mean playing Young as starting 2RF)
- trading out J.Friend to eg N.Brown or B.Hunt (the former would mean playing Grant or Koro as starting hooker).

As always, ideas welcome pre- or post-TLT.

We are $34k short on Latrell to Hunt

I think make that move  + whatever downgrade looks good that gives us the extra cash we need for that.

Playing Crichton and Niu at CTR is fine

Paix to cash out and Latrell to Hunt works

I think Hunt is more useful to the team than Brown.

And Paix offers nothing.

Paix to cashie and Latrell to Hunt is my vote

Yeah, I guess the popular options will be Hunt, N.Brown, Havili - and of those Hunt fills the most obvious gap. Although I do see Brown as a clear upgrade on Hess.

Just had a look through the team lists - cashies include:

- Starling ($228k)
- KOD ($221k)
- Lam ($276k)
- Lewis ($228k)
- SMac ($260k)
- Utoikamanu ($212k)
- Leniu ($252k)

For me Starling, KOD or SMac offer the best chance of cash generation - but will we have enough trades to milk them? Utoikamanu is the cheapest, so we can get more dollars to play with. Or is it too early to potentially kill off a position?

10 weeks to go I'd prefer to roll the dice that the cash out would actually be useful down the line. I don't like the look of any of those guys as cash cows, with SMac being the most useful. I'd probably rather go with someone like Hetherington who won't make any money but should be good for 20 points in a pinch

I like B Sironen best under 300k. Good for 20 and I think more likely than Hetherington to get an expanded role.

I can't see the pic of the team. Is Hess to someone like Hunt not an option? No second rowers to slot in? Even Hess to Brown surely would be a decent upgrade?

I'd tend to agree with you but most seem to be keen to get rid of Latrell which means a second trade.
