Re: Rd 11 discussion
Only 9 trades left. I would have thought Friend would be on the chopping block? Fogarty? Young? And potentially Niu too? We can cover Niu in the centres with Talau, while Sironen might be in for a starting spot with news of Lowe's neck surgery.
Will have a look at possible trade-ins this evening - all suggestions welcome by Wednesday morning.

Re: Rd 11 discussion
Friend's break even is pretty manageable and he has had a rest the last 2 weeks. Probably stick around as a 50ish scorer the next few weeks. With only 9 left it's probably a good week to just bank them, although very tempting to trade Fogarty/Young to Asi and bank the cash. Need to upgrade 17th man, 2rf3 and probably want a more reliable CTR2 in the coming weeks

Re: Rd 11 discussion
Don't see anything urgent trade wise.
If we did trade, is Hess also on the discussion list? Unless he can do a Lucy, his cash gen has tried up and seems a tier below keeper.

With Siro likely starting he can be 17th man. Would look at downgrading Young to Starling/Asi for some extra cash generation and look to upgrade Hess either this week or next; possibly target Twal or D. Fifita. Or try and upgrade Friend to Cook via a Fogarty downgrade.

Don't mind this. If not Fogarty then maybe Hess out.Empyreal wrote:..... Or try and upgrade Friend to Cook via a Fogarty downgrade.

Re: Rd 11 discussion
Hess is the obvious one in need of an upgrade for me. Where to get the cash from? Koro is averaging in the 60s still so if he's only out one round that's a waste. Friend averaging around 50, is that enough?
Hudson Young downgrade and Hess upgrade for mine. Tevaga into the 2rf would probably be the popular move. Young to who though? Don't rate Asi's chances of sticking around. Averillo still cheap and I'd say Holland moves out for Lafai before he does but he's still a risk but not a bad option if we want more centre cover. Starling probably the best and most obvious move
Young ---> Starling
Hess ---> Tevaga

Re: Rd 11 discussion
Bayley can cover Koro for this week, so unless we hear of more serious injury I think he can stay.
Friend isn't doing what we'd hoped for but he is doign enough that I don't think its worth a trade losing him
Hess+Young allows us Tevaga or Taupau + a cheapie
(Taupau is cheaper, but 2RF cover from Tevaga would possibly be more important)
If we hold trades we are betting on better trades appearing in coming weeks. Other than Mitchell Moses, any other guns likely to go below $700k soon or are we hoping for injury to someone?
My vote would be for upgrading Hess, along with a cheap CTR that we can loop with Talau using Niu
Plan of waiting to get Moses next week is also a possibility

Red dots aren't a concern with Young, Sironen, Talau and Hammer not getting dropped any time soon. Going Hess + Young to Tevaga + Asi gives us good scores at centres for the next few weeks, no concerns if he gets dropped as a red dot and a keeper in second row. From there pretty much only have to upgrade Fogarty(cash from Sironen/Hammer/Talau) and maybe get a better centre option

Re: Rd 11 discussion
A 2RF is better than FRF, and Tevaga is probably a better scorer than Taupau
But Taupau+Asi basically guarantees we can do Fogarty to Moses in a single trade next week
Is Tapuau+Moses better than Tevaga+Fogarty+$100k

i love this idea but i can’t make the numbers work, at least without adding Friend to the mix and so weakening another part of our 17.

Your right, we'd need Moses to drop a heap more cash than expected to do that in 1 trade

Re: Rd 11 discussion
OK, seems like this is a tricky week. And that was before the Koro news. Rather than go to a poll tonight, I might try and set out a plan for the next couple of weeks to inform trades this week (if any) and get some comments through this thread - @Milchcow @multiple.scoregasms @filthridden @code delta @Empyreal @robelgordo
Team as above now needs an upgrade at 3rd 2RF (currently Hess), 2nd CTR (Talau), 16th man (Koro), 17th man (Fogarty/Young). All of a sudden, Friend looks like a keeper.
Possible cut-price keeper trade-ins over the next few weeks:
Tevaga, Taupau, N.Brown, Moses, CS9 (to the extent he is cheaper than CM9 or Cook), Munster, any CTR worth playing
Trade-outs:
Koro, Hess, Fogarty, Young, HTF, Niu
Koro news suggest he's out 3-6 weeks. With 9 trades left, does that make him a trade-out this week? Probably yes... for example, a possible trade plan (at current prices with $20k in the bank) could be:
1. Koro -> Taupau ($146k in the bank)
2. Hess -> Tevaga ($12k)
3. Young -> $212k nuff ($272k)
4. Fogarty -> Moses ($54k)
5. HTF -> $212k nuff ($162k)
6. Niu -> CTR up to $449k (if we time the trades well, especially Moses, we should have more to play with)
This would leave us with three trades and a team like this (assuming Talau gets DPP, we'd have bench coverage for all positions):
Grant
Haas MoFo
Lolo Tevaga JTurbo
Pearce Moses
S.Crichton CTR
Teddy Ponga Papy
Friend Carrigan Taupau Hunt
Sironen Talau Nuff Nuff
Thoughts?

Re: Rd 11 discussion
Honestly with CTR being such a variable position and the fact that max 449k CTRs aren't even that much better than cheaper CTRs I would lean to trying to use that money elsewhere
You can't really change that much this week unless maybe you went cow/cashout this week for Koro and then Young to slightly better gun than Taupau next week. Team is in a very weird position needing upgrades but hard to make them

Yeah hard to argue with trades 1,2,4. Would go bit higher than 212k if a decent reliable cow emerged, esp a CTR. Assess the rest later
