Re: Rd 8 discussion
I think its time to ditch Niu. There are a bunch of cheapies on offer we may want to consider.
Might have to be Walsh, depending on Pappy/Teddy news.
Have to keep an eye on Roberts too
Do we need to ditch Turpin or O'Sullivan?
12 of our starting 13 are great. 1 of them is James Roberts.
We can make some improvements to our 14-17 though and that should be the focus over the next few weeks, ideally with R13 players.

I'd bite the bullet with Turpin to Peachey and hopefully forget about centres.
And then maybe Niu to Walsh.

Re: Rd 8 discussion
Yeah Walsh seems a good pick-up. Pap seems unlikely and even if Teddy's named we can't be too confident. Could be a decent cow regardless.
Not sure if JRob will play by default again, even with Joey Leilua injured and I'm starting to lose patience with that crap at CTR. Peachy, Lomax, Crichton and Opacic a few Rd 13 options that jump out to me at various prices.
SOS and Niu were my initial tradeout candidates, but Turpin's 58 BE is alarming. I was eyeing off the Turpin to Haas trade until these other fires started too.
Now the wait for TLT..

Re: Rd 8 discussion
A couple of options to consider:
a. SoS -> Walsh + Niu -> Peachey - means not having to play Roberts in CTR and running with a bench of say Turpin, Simpkin, Alvaro, Walker
b. SoS - > Walsh + Turpin -> Haas - means having to continue to play Roberts at CTR but adding Haas to that bench instead of Turpin (and using Niu/Roberts to loop say Walker, Walsh or Utoikamanu)

Re: Rd 8 discussion
I think MID & EDG is good enough to wait on, and fucking off Roberts to EMG would provide more points
Would pretty much mean starting 13 is serviceable/set up until end of Origin.
Is there maybe case for cheaper CTR (Crichton??) which would free up cash to say Turpin to Macca following week - first thoughts solid maybe??

not a bad shout if the goal is to get rid Roberts out of the 13 and start to improve our 14-17 with Rd 13 players.

Re: Rd 8 discussion
I think moving Roberts to EMG is probably a good move, but I can't help but to feel he'll bounce back eventually. I don't mind turning Turps or SOS to a gun forward though.
But Walsh and Peachey are solid and make sense.

We have no edge cover unless Alvaro starts. Not sure if that's really an issue though

Re: Rd 8 discussion
Bringing in a CTR/WFB DPP lets us cover Teddy this week, and ditch Roberts next week.
Crichton is probably the bets option. Rapana and Hampton are the others probably worth considering.
Another option is get Peachey + Walsh
3rd option is lose Turpin + O'Sullivan. If we don't think they'll be gun scorers any time soon, there are plenty of options
Haas + Walsh
Crichton + someone like McGuire/Collins

Re: Rd 8 discussion
Are we going to have this team focusing on round 13 specifically?

Re: Rd 8 discussion
I'm thinking Haas + Walsh and put up with JRob's 0-20 for another week.
Peach is tempting, but price makes it hard to jump on Haas next week unless we lose a gun longterm.
SCrichton's price also tempting, but unless he has a blinder this week, I'm thinking we're better off with Haas now rather than waiting a week. SCrit coming off his 3rd highest score with a 53 last week, so he's just kinda whatever.. 35-40.
