Madge does seem to like Smackintyre.

I think the kid must have just kept developing, because went from a Centre to a Second Rower to a Middle quite quickly. He’s been playing more a Lock role, standing a little wider on occasion, but defs playing that middle role and that’s what he looks like continuing.

I can’t believe Packer has been given another crack. Madge obviously wants mongrel, but Smackintyre looks like he’s got a fair bit of it as well.

Ahh I can’t decide. Only doing one trade this week And finally banking one. Api to NBrown. Young gets another chance but if he stinks it up he is gone next week to Twal

Can you talk me through this one? I feel like you're trading in about 5-10 less points every week

I don't get it. Api still 12th highest regular player average. 62.8 to CS9 63.4 in 11th. Would you sell CS9 because of 1 bad outlier? Api previous 3 games 64 55 76

Those captain percentages are pretty misleading as others have stated.

Last round still had 75% of the current top 1000 with C on Haas

    Breakdown of the top 1000

    Payne Haas 754
    James Tedesco 111
    Cameron McInnes 93
    Nathan Cleary 12
    Damien Cook 11
    Jason Taumalolo 8
    Angus Crichton 6
    Apisai Koroisau 1
    Tohu Harris 1
    Daly Cherry-Evans 1
    Moeaki Fotuaika 1
    Harry Grant 1

Note this is the current top 1000 but their teams from last round. You cant pull data on team changes for the upcoming round

*if you have coach you'd be able to see exact live figures (i think??), but that info is going to be diluted by dead teams/etc, so pretty impossible to make much from it.

Shhhh don't you sometimes want to see how crazy trades pan out. I'd certainly like a 70+ from Api after someone trades him.

Who do we think has better cash generation, and who will provide better emergency scores  in case they can't be traded out.

I think Sironen has better job security. Fermor might hang around, but don't want to bet a trade in him retaining his spot when Proctor returns
I got Fermor when he was first named. Had a great first half with 2 LB’s and was on around 50. Second half did SFA.
Last week at centre he saved his score with a try.
I’m happy that I got on early and have made a good bit of cash and I’ll be watching closely with him named back in the second row.
I think he’s likely to go back to the bench with Proctor back, until Hipgrave next suspension.
I can’t add anything about Sironen.

I did mention it earlier in the week, it’s not just because of his low score last week. I need second row cover, cash and also everyone owns API. You won’t catch up with the same players. This also allows me next week to trade in Twal and Fifta in two trades for Macca and Young.

To me Brown, Twal and Fifita will out score api Macca and young

I am 1 of those 754 in the top 1000 Smile Pretty tempted to throw it on Ponga and hope for a bit of a return to form.

On the captaincy front. I'm going with Haas this week.
I had been sitting around the 900-1100 in the rankings since round 4 and got frustrated and felt like throwing a Hail Mary so I put the C on Teddy.
I managed to climb in the rankings and now sit just outside the top 500. My gut says to stick with Haas this week.

On another note, in a dream last night one of Cleary's Tik Tok girls told me that he is out this week. I've got the Fog as cover so I should be ok if this is the case. Razz

Need a FRF keeper for the year, obvious choice would be Mofo or Klemmer if I want to spend a bit more

Also Taukeiaho but the fact that he may be rested at certain points puts me off - but his value is above the rest

Another POD pick would maybe be Vaughan? Averages 57 when playing over 50 minutes and unlikely to get a rest compared to Tauk. Available at 690k

Looking to bring in Ponga and Havili this week.
Drinkwater is the first to go, but can’t decide between Rudolf and Latrell for the other.
If I trade Rudolf, I move Carrigan into FRF2 and have no backup.
If I trade Latrell I’ve got Niu and Talau to partner Lomax.

    Grant
    Haas Rudolf
    Lolo JTurbo Leilua
    Cleary DCE
    Lomax Mitchell
    Teddy Pappy Drinkwater

    Api Carrigan Mann Fermor
    Niu Talau Clune HTF

14 trades and 251k in the bank.

I would love to hear some thoughts on this.
    Thanks in advance.

    Very interesting, cheers.

I was a bit skeptical of the comment by someone where they assumed most Haas coaches are dead teams, because if anything, the majority of players with Haas will be active. Less of them may be captaining him - I would say Tedesco is eating into it, as well as people buying McInnes - but he'll still easily be the most popular.

It's actually Taumalolo more likely to have his stats skewed by dead teams.

if you want a non-Haas captain, Teddy is the way to go. I'm all over him and will be for a while with their draw coming up, he's just too good. He's only averaging 2 points less than Haas, and that's with his HIA-affected game as well as his customary round 1 low score. Take those two games out and he's averaging 82

Your centre coverage is good enough to run without Mitchell, your FRF coverage probably not good enough to run without Rudolf this week. Assuming you are looking at Mofo/Taupau/Twal down the line for Rudolf?

Yeah just out of my price range - can only afford up to Klemmer. But looking for the best value as well, going Tauk over Klem saves me 80k which will help later..

Should've mentioned currently have Haas, Carrigan and Rudolf as FRF options
