I'm keen to see what scores Havili, Starling, Bhunt, and NBrown are going to put up.

I have this weird feeling that he comes on after 30 minutes to play out the game, allowing Havili to come on for a knock up the middle in the back end of the game.

Yeah, I'll probably put the C back on Teddy next week.

I’m not sure which FRF yet, it will be whoever I can afford at the time, most likely a bottomed out gun.

Richie Kennar will play his first game at centre for the Broncos this year against Wests Tigers on Friday night. Herbie Farnworth, who suffered a bad cork in the win over the Bulldogs, failed a fitness test on Thursday morning. Kennar trained in the centres in the captain’s run.

Ben Te'o will start in the back row for injured skipper Alex Glenn with Joe Ofahengaue back from suspension on the bench in the only change from last week's drought-breaking win over Canterbury.

Winger Xavier Coates has a thigh complaint but is expected to play. The Broncos have won eight of their past 10 games against the Tigers.

Drinkwater is the first to go, but can’t decide between Rudolf and Latrell for the other.
If I trade Rudolf, I move Carrigan into FRF2 and have no backup.
If I trade Latrell I’ve got Niu and Talau to partner Lomax.

    Grant
    Haas Rudolf
    Lolo JTurbo Leilua
    Cleary DCE
    Lomax Mitchell
    Teddy Pappy Drinkwater

    Api Carrigan Mann Fermor
    Niu Talau Clune HTF

14 trades and 251k in the bank.

I would love to hear some thoughts on this.
    Thanks in advance.

Yep Drinky has to go and Ponga the obvious choice, Havili decent to make that happen. I personally think Lomax, Niu and Talau is plenty of centre to have and probably better to keep your FRF cover for now.

This is classic points chasing because Teddy has scored well the last few weeks. Being a WFB he can score well or poorly vs anyone

He has scored 35 or less vs Panthers, Rabbitsx4, Stormx2, Tigersx2, Knights, Eaglesx2, Sharksx2, Dragons, Titansx2, Broncos, Warriors

    He has scored 75+ vs Rabbits, Bulldogs, Stormx2, Cowboys, Eelsx3, Raidersx2, Knightsx2, Titans, Warriorsx2, Dragons, Rabbitsx2, Eagles,

WFBs go on hot streaks and treating it like it's a fact it's going to continue for the rest of the season is disingenuous plus likely to hurt some of our newer members when he eventually scores a 30.

TL;DR Captaining a back always comes with risks. Do your own research and own your choices

I think Rudolf is a sell ahead of Mitchell in a vacuum. So if you can live with the team balance of no FRF for a round or two, that would be my call.

It helps that there has been plenty of value with FRF guns over the season and I think this is going to continue.

I think this will be the eventual rotation but might take Starling a couple of games to get his match fitness up so Havili might have to come back on for him if he blows out

I really hate investing in matchups too much. I'm sure there's not that strong a relationship between scores and strength of opposition, especially if you're talking about predicted strength of opposition, not the actual game/season outcome with the benefit of hindsight.

For Teddy --> depleted Raiders, Titans, Warriors, Dragons coming up is "easy". Yet the Dragons had the Roosters on the ropes for 60 mins and Teddy scored zero against them. FACT.

More seriously - then it's the Storm after that, which is not easy, but he scored 82 anyway. Against the Eels which is not easy, only 34.

Yeah having no frf cover but 4 ctrs would be crazy wouldnt it? Also tough to trade out Rudolph now that he is starting lock?

I've ridden the highs and the lows. I once captained Benji Marshall for a score in the 90s. I once captained Benji Marshall for a single digit score. And that is the risk with backs. The reason we opt for a solid captaincy option at the start of the season is that even if they have a career worst game you are banking a 40. Sure it's nice when your captain scores 85 points and you gain a few over the safe options, but it ends your season when they score a 20

The C on Haas averaging 70.4 for the year is 140.8 points a game. The C on Teddy averaging 68.3 Is 136.6 points a game. I know one game you might nab Teddy for a 83 but you might also get him as Captain for his 30 point game. With someone like Haas his lowest score since starting as a prop is 51. You know you are going to get 50+ as a captain no matter what, with the ceiling of 100+. It’s a no brainer.

This is the same argument people would make as to taking the C off Cook and taking the C off Smith in years gone by.

I once left the (C) on the Hayne Plane for 4 weeks straight. It worked out brilliantly.
