Would you prefer Siro allowing 700k for two major upgrades next week... Or Tevaga and 312k for upgrading.

From a BE point of view you're better off getting Siro as his price would go up more than Tevaga. Can always get Tevaga next week at a similar price

Tried a million variations to get in Ted and Cook but settling on Api to Jazz as going for broke will leave me with a questionable 17th for the foreseeable.
Still thinking about Brailey to Starling/Asi as a late second.....

Young can sit for a week

Speaking of questionable 17th men who would you play out of Young, Brailey & Sironen?

Leaning towards HTF as I give Cows more of a chance to upset Manly than I do Broncos upsetting Storm. Would be good to know if Herbie was FB.

Just a bit of talk but i liked what Hannay had to say on the cowboys site today.

Just said he wants the young guys to play what they see, play their natural games, that they dont expect perfection every play. He said theres a bit of structure theyd like them to stick to but around that just play footy.

Will be interesting to see if they have been freed up a bit tomorrow

Alright LS, I have Lomax, who is this other 40 point keeper at centre I can trade in?

Stephen Crichton actually has a 40+ average at starting CTR this season (42.1)

Staggs back could actually be decent POD CTR gun, also heavily reliant on tries

Aitken averages 45.5 at starting CTR

But all those guys are 500k+ and I'd honestly just rather run a cheapie

I've had a similar conundrum of Sironen this week and able to get Tevaga & ~750k gun next week or Tevaga this week and ~700k gun next week & skip Sironen

Figured I don't have trades to take advantage of Sironen's cash so Tevaga it is

Hey guys looking for some opinions on my team/trades this week.
    Currently running with
    Grant
    Haas Mofo
    Lolo Yeo Siro
    Cleary Hunt
    SCrichton Niu
    Papen Ponga Teddy
    Robson Carrigan Angus Koro
    Young KOD Luai TEisenhuth

7 Trades left and 60k ITB
Looking at trading any 2 of Angus, Young and Koro.
Robson probably a trade next week if he isnt playing 80.

Aware of the risk of running out of trades but want to keep my rank within the top 100.

That was more my point. If he's giving out advice, advocating to trade in a 500K centre with the way the season is going is simply crook advice if you ask me. For such a volailte position, the extra 200K is much better spent elsewhere.

I reckon with only 7 left you have to hold one of Angus or Api. Jazz (hok/2rf) would be handy for Angus which should give you enough $$$ to update Young to someone useful like Taupau if (and I am saying if) he doesn't start.

Otherwise hold the second trade for a week and choose a 17th man from your emergencies

EDIT: you have zero back line cover and need a CTR....you will need a CTR every week if Niu is out long term so the second trade has to cover that spot (maybe even the first trade)

This is a very good point in general. If trades are limited you probably can't afford to trade out players that will be back this year

Would hurt short term but could reap rewards once they all come back.

Still reckon its 50/50 if some of these cows get dropped . Take Asi for instance, if he is playing his arse off, I think Hannay finds a place for him.

My target list for the rest of the year is looking like DFifi, Jazz and Moses when he bottoms out.
Also if i dont trade a centre in this round i would be running with 16 but im not really impressed with any centres ATM.

The formula I am usually comfortable with is 6 trades left for the last 6 rounds which allows both injury cover and the luxury of the occasional sideways move to shore up holes when people are rested

Could be less this year given the injury carnage but maybe only by 1

Know what you mean on centres but you will have to pick one up at some point - 10 rounds at a 20pt average is still 200 points

Okay I think I'm set on doing Angus and Field to Tevaga and Sironen. Next week I'll have plenty of cash to go Koro and Rudolf to Fifita/Twal and Moses. That will complete my team with 6 trades left.

After next round my team will look like:

    Grant
    Haas | Fotu
    Tolo | Matterson | Fifita
    Cleary | Moses
    Lomax | Averillo
    Tedesco | Ponga | Pappy

    Hunt | Carrigan | Tevaga | Sironen/Paix/Starling (Loop)

Any glaring issues here? I know looping your 17th man isn't ideal but if injuries allow I should be able to upgrade one of my remaining cows when they peak.

I'd want to atleast see how they play first. Is Milford going to dominate kick members? Will Dearden be a glorified ball shuffler?
