It might be me but I though Cartwright scores were all over the place last year regardless of the minutes he played. In a couple of games he played 80 he scored less than when he was playing 50 to 60. I can just see that Panthers pack frustrating the hell out of us with rotation of the excessive amounts of forwards they have and not knowing what their best team actually is.

So is he worth the risk. I say yes as he is is a damm good player and hasnt reach anywhere near his playing and fantasy peak.

More than once Cartwright went on one of this long tackle busting runs that can get 20+ fantasy points. That and scoring tries will give a big fantasy score, regardless of minutes played.

In games where he played 60 minutes or more, he averaged about 48 points, and that discounts the games he scored tries in. Given he's prices at an average of under 40, I see very little downside if he gets a starting spot.
Does depend a bit on how Taylor and Merrin share minutes, and if that impacts Cartwright or not. But he's very close to being in my team.

I doubt it. Neilsen is average at best. I still don't know why Souths would even want to sign him. The only reason he went well at the Storm was because they made him look good not because he was actually good. Then he goes to the Warriors & the Dragons & can't command a 1st grade position. Goodwin & Auva'a will be the centres imo.

I know Goodwin asked for a release but McGuire was reluctant to because of Walker leaving but now that they have Neilson who knows might end up releasing Goodwin. I hope not haha I hope Neilson is in nswcup

I think if you're ever gona take a risk on a player Cartwright is your man. To me he is an x-factor player that id rather have in my team rather than watching and wishing he was in my team!

I've never really considered Cartwright before today & I have to say he's definitely on my radar. Nrl.com has him as a starting 2fr & if he can play 60 minutes say & with his ability to make high scoring plays coupled with his try scoring ability he looks a good bet. Also at 357k he not too dear.

Anyone care to give me some advice on this as a team

    Seggy, Peats
    J.Graham, JTubro, Packer, Nuffie
    W.Graham, M.Cooper, Cartwright, Pauli, Nuffie
    DCE, J.Reynolds, Hastings, Taylor
    Lawrence, Copley, Auva'a, Henry
    Fergo, Gordon, Mansour, Latrell, Gutherson

    5k left.

Don't really like the like the idea of going in without a big gun as a captaincy choice but I really like the balance in this side with a fair amount of guys who could easily outperform their price.

You don't really need a big gun with DCE there to put the C on. Mooper and Graham will be consistent for you as well, but DCE will be a popular choice Obviously yet to see how Foran's departure affects his scoring of course.

I haven't heard Pearce come up much if at all so far boys. Like DCE he'll now be the dominant half & should be 50-55 points scorer. I reckon you could have both Pearce & Hastings in your team with Hastings being a money earner & Pearce being a big points scorer.

Has Pauli Pauli now signed with the Knights or is he still at the Eels. I still think that in terms of a set & forget captaincy option you need Smith/Parker or both. Regardless that's a nice looking team Beast.

Agree - I've got Smith in at the moment. He just seems to be the lowest risk captaincy option to start with.

I forget how Origin works with byes, but that means that someone like Fifita whose byes fall on Round 12 and 15 mean he will miss 3 games this year. (If he avoids injury.)

And if he gets back in the team. He missed games 2 and 3 last year. Fifita that is

Only 5 second rowers there. Is the missing player a nuffie or someone worthwhile?

I am starting to think teams will be better with a reliable 60+ average player.
Seggy, DCE, Cooper are your best bets but I think that finding room for Cam,Corey or someone of that I'll will pay dividends.

Peachy might take some time away from Cartwright as well.
