I'm still playing HTF in my 17. Need a WFB for under $550. Any suggestions

Twal in was the better pick. Twal significantly outscored Yeo the next few rounds, while Friend mostly sucked. Can't predict injuries.Camo123 wrote:I only have 2 trades I regret that weren't injury related, but they're both clearly as result of hindsight. Basically every other trade I've made is getting rid of underperforming player, getting another shit CTR or getting rid of a keeper with a long-term injury
Walters to J Hopoate R3 - should have held Walters extra week
Friend to Twal R3 - was deciding between Friend to Twal and Aubusson to Yeo (when Aubo was out) this round and thought Aubusson was CTR keeper on return

Any other Matterson owners out there? If he misses this week, are you selling? Just seems like it's going to be one of those things that might linger around, based on history. 1 week going to turn into 3. Then there's the chance he gets concussed again (Obviously could happen to anyone though). Smart play is probably to hold him, the Yolo play is probably to trade for somebody who is "safe"?

They're all pretty terrible. You'd be trading HTF out to get this $550K player? If so, looking at the options, I'd hold him (I don't think he's any better or worse than the other choices) and hope for his single run per match while me makes some more money for a better choice?
This $550K player would be a keeper?

Unfortantely yes, my money making options haven't been good this year and have stagnated, I think I'm in trouble

If he doesn't play he won't lose any money. Sure it sucks having 800k not playing, but I'm not trading him out. If he doesn't play this week and is in doubt for next week I'll likely move him on. I can't afford to be trading out 'healthy' guns at this point. If he doesn't end up playing and I miss one week of points it's not a huge deal, but if I blow a trade and he continues to average 65+ I'd consider that a huge mistake.Finch wrote:Any other Matterson owners out there? Lesser of two evils at this point (unless new info comes to light before his game which is towards the end of the round -_-)
I dunno got no idea, just my thoughts

They have a history of clickbait at the smallest of injuries labelling players in extreme doubt. They would probably label a player in extreme doubt about a stubbed toe (though those do hurt)
Yeah, I remember a few weeks back I posted a bunch of rumours I'd heard on this same podcast. Some pretty hefty ones. Not one came to fruition, so I learned not to read anything into it since.
However, I may just be a little more on edge this week because I'm already not 100% sold on Taupau and I'm obviously bringing him in as a definite keeper, and with only 6 trades remaining afterwards I'm hoping not to have my testicles taken from inside my sac, so to speak.

Fair call, I'm probably leaning the other way, but I do have 9 trades left so perhaps 1 or 2 more than average. Hmmmm

Exact same boat here Finch, undecided. Part of me wants to just bring anyone I like in for the reasons u outlined. The safe play guys will tell u to hold. If he doesn't play this week, and/or misses another part game you have lost big points thats a guarantee. If u trade, yeah trade gone but u have another guns points. Plus Eels play Sunday, so if u wait.... pickle.

2 cents
CM13 > Cook
Same price you get back up 2RF if required. CM13 scores well regardless of team performance
Sironen > Starling
JS and Starling has another proven hooker right in the 17. 2rf is more valuable than hok

Any thoughts of bringing in Ponga
Or
Stick with Teddy Pappy RTS... If I bring Ponga in I still play these 3

Going Teddy for the fourth week in a row.
Currently 5 points down from where I would've been if I had left it on Haas so I'm hoping for a big score vs the Tits and a bit of a rest for Haas with his supposed soreness.

I highly doubt that this is breaking any rules mate. Getting a knee brace for an injury wouldn't count as breaking the bubble...
If he's going to see a regular physio who is also treating members of the public, then he is either breaking the bubble, or the bubble is as useful as Rainier Wolfcastle's goggles.

Teddy for my Captain.
Using Niu as a loop for Latrell and Crichton. Hopefully Latrell scores a 60 tonight so I can take that.
