First game I watched was at mates house. His dad was Australian so had Sky and lifelong Eels supporter. Game was Bulldogs vs Sharks. My mate said pick your team and I'll have the other. I liked Sharks colours so went Sharks. Eventually became Warriors fan later. Was in Europe 97-09 Didn't really follow league but watched final vs Roosters and think they were in breakaway comp final vs Broncos. Remember watching a latter mentioned game on a screen at greyhound stadium in Dublin

Making it really hard to sell. Thinking of just going Young > Fifita this week and holding the other. Would leave me 5 trades and 2 away from final team.

Tedesco will be around 735K next week... to hard to pass up considering I thought about grabbing him at 900+. Looking back I can't believe he was 685K at one point last year (went on to average 66.9 from that point on, including scores of 81,82,93,92,75,76... that is insane)

I posted about Teddy and Ponga's price trends from last year back when they were both around 900k and people were ripping apart their teams to get them.

A few agreed, like MS and VK, but others seemed to think it was madness waiting for their prices to come down because they couldn't score poorly after Rd 2's rule changes or something.

Apparently Cordner still a few weeks away, Robbo wants to give him as much time as possible to get over his HIA dramas and some say Crichton still in knee brace and a few weeks out too. Plus he started at lock last night pushing Liu to the forward rotations. Maybe it'll be regular?

Not worried about being stuck with him. He will always be in my trade out plans just depends whether its next week or in 2/3 weeks time.

Hmm yeah that's all good for you then if you have the trades to still trade out later, I pretty much need to get rid of him now or keep for the rest of the season

Yes, ill be a late season tedesco owner next week. That is unless he is shifted into the halves or something absurd.

At one point Teddy was more expensive than Cook and only a few thousand less than Haas. I don't care how big of a purple patch a WFB is in, they won't match it with fantasy elite over a 10 week period

For what it's worth I waited and got Ponga at 735k and will get Teddy next week at a similar price

I started with Ponga and got Teddy in the week before his banner at $817k

I'm comfortable with the scores I've got for the price I paid

    Api (60), Cleary (65), Lomax (40), Crichton (40), Moses (60)

Hope there is no disappointment and I can average about 53 from this lot...

Why would you want guns that score above their price point when you can run with Drinkwater and Aekins for way too long?

Hmmm that combo of Starling, Sironen, Fog is pretty rough.
Upgrade Randall to a Moses perhaps and one of those guys becomes 18th man maybe

Grew up in Grafton so no team remotely close. Ended up drawing a team out of a hat and got the Roosters. Thought it was super lame (was hoping for Panthers or Sharks if I remember correctly) but stood by the rules of hat drawing and here we are.

Second team is Titans (live on the coast) and third is the Eels (Dad's team).

No need to defend the Teddy acquisition if you didn't rip your team apart Laughing

It's the Haas to Teddy and Luciano, Papenhuyzen, Yeo, Pearce + a shitload of cash to Teddy type trades that did my head in around that time.

Is the Fantasy App playing up for anyone else?

Been trying to reverse my Flanagan to Lam trade all morning but no good! Dead Horse Moral of the story - don't try and sort trades when you get home on a thursday night between dinner and kids bedtime - sh1t will go wrong. Sort that sh1t out at work before you get home!

If I was a racehorse I would be put out of my misery. Alas, I will limp home and look forward to L99 next year.

I also used to be a Dragons supporter! Very Happy

Oh this has bought much delight over the last decade! Not sure why I enjoy it so much, but I just do Smile

Agreed, could NEVER do it, despite the pain and disappointment.

As a Balmain supporter growing up in Townsville I was continually asked why I didn’t support the Broncos. Then when the Cows came in same deal.

A few times it was suggested I wasn’t a loyal Queenslander; the irony being I’d shown great loyalty to my NSWRL team.

I though Shane Flanagan’s multiple quotes a few weeks back along the lines that “I sent my son there to get experience in a good environment” were disturbing. All about Shane and his decision and not Kyle’s decision.

A very, very long read about St. V'Landys if you have 20 minutes spare:
    https://www.themonthly.com.au/issue/2020/august/1596204000/lech-blaine/art-class-war?fbclid=IwAR2EfOa5vOdb2g-om5frVtrfyyNQckDZE1DQz3rQz00LfPLihTQ71fPdfK4#mtr

Seems quite one-sided - I'm sure he must have some detractors the author didn't bother finding - but the politics underneath it all is totally correct. You can't understand RL in Australia (or just Australia, really) without understanding the class divides.

He loves his fantasy though , as soon as a game kicks off he goes online to look at my nearlysport comp to have a look at which players are in the game for each team in the league, and does his own manual updates every time a try is scored.

7 yo twins. One is firmly on the Dragons. The other will be eventually... but during Sunday's Eels v Sharks match, he informed me the Dragons are currently his 4th favourite team. The Roosters are #1, the Eels moved to #2 because they beat the Sharks #3 on Sunday.
