Yeah, was gonna captain McInnes. Can still move McInnes to second row but then won't have hooker cover lol. It's a risky move but in theory swapping Haas for Ponga seems like a no brainer for points.

Depends how many trades you have and what your 18th man is like.

If you have to play someone like HTF instead of Haas, then the points from trading him away might be worth it, especially if you have enough to get him back in afterwards. I;d probably want 5 trades to do this

If you can replace Haas with someone like Starling, then it might be OK to just take the points hit.

The good thing about Haas is that you know he'll be back after 2 weeks.
He won't make a surprise 1 week recovery like Koro, but he won't be like Matterson/Twal where you are sweating on an unknown return date

Can't say I'm not tempted by this as well. Will probably end up with the "safer" option of Koroisau or Cook

Yeah, if I had less than 5, I don't think I'd do it. My decision may depend on Siro but by the time we find out it's too late. I just really don't want to play Hammer. I'd like to avoid playing Talau too.

Getting Haas back in will be the challenge. There's more than likely some sideways trading and downgrades to get funds. Could burn a trade and go Hetherington to Host and bank 100K. That would make getting Haas back easier, but then, would only have 3 trades. Good chance someone goes down within a fortnight anyway.

End Game help if possible Smile

    4 trades left.

A or TU) Aubz to AJ. Hold Young for 1-2 more weeks, then hope Hammer makes enough to cash out and go Young to someone decent like Matto or worst case Munster, mofo etc.

B or TD) Aubz to Hopa and Young to Mofo or JFH this week.

Of course could also go Aub to Hopa and then Young to Munster when returns.

Open to any suggestions to the contrary Smile

I can’t see him getting any less than around 55mins whilst Haas is out and should still get around 50mins when Haas is back. Back in 2018 he averaged 50mins for the season with a 43 point average. He’s priced at 365k so I think he’s good value and should score a bit better than Jarrod Wallace. Ofa also has DPP.

    Thoughts on Ofa lads?

I could do a Haas to McInnes trade and an Aubbs to Ofa trade which leaves me with 4 trades and 297k spare to be able to get Haas back in come round 17. If I can’t get Haas back due to other fires it is what it is.

Would leave me with this for this week, thoughts?

    McInnes (C)
    Carrigan MoFo
    Murray Taumalolo Yeo
    Cleary Pearce
    Crichton Latrell
    Teddy Pong Pap

    Hunt Lucy Taupau Ofahengaue
    Sironen Hammer Randall Niu

    Thoughts please lads?

I have 4 trades left and am going to hold Hass. Planning on trading Randall to Kolomatangi or Wallace or possibly Ofahengaue. This will give me 2 playable FRF this week.

Leaves me with a bench of Pearce Fifita Tevaga Starling

Would love to hear opinions on which out of these three would be the best trade in. Wallace has not scored well all year and Ofahengaue's PPM is a big concern. Leaning towards Kolo however worried that Bennet may be conservative with his minutes.

Who are you aiming to trade to Haas when suspension ends, I'd say you'd be just short with Pearce in 1 trade as losing cash

You'll need someone cheaper than Ofa to have the funds to get Haas back in I'd say. Depends who you are trading out. Dud scores will see prices change and plans change too.

Randall to one of those is fine is holding Haas. Host is another one to look at at 240K. Fui out for 2 weeks. Although, Host may be marking Fifita, I'm not sure.

Whoever isn’t going as well, could be Murray, Yeo or Taupau. Haas is much better than all these 3.

Thoughts on Ofa as 17th man? He should have a starting spot and 50mins for rest of the year.

I'd maybe look at Koro/Cook instead of McInnes and see if you can get slightly better 17th man (Dearden, Brooks, Talakai, Nikorima, Joliffe - most of which cover HLF allowing you to trade Pearce and keep Hunt on bench for coverage)

Murray/Yeo/Taupau all around 55 mark let's say and Haas around 70 mark = 15 point upgrade whereas ditching Pearce could be 25-30 point upgrade based off recent form while Cook/Koro may be able to match McInnes or get within 5 points average

With Haas out though who would I captain? I was gonna buy McInnes and captain him.

Are Taumalolo and Cleary ok as captaincy options?

Re Dearden do you think I should be concerned Milford will take kick metres off him? I was keen in Dearden but now Milford being back 3-4 weeks earlier than expected has me a bit concerned.

Going Cook in and Dearden in leaves me 291k spare, maybe that’s not enough for Pearce to Haas?

If I lock in Munster -> MoFo, then that leaves me with either

    Talau -> Hopo/Brooks/Talakai

    or

    Randall -> Wallace/Ofa

Talau to Hopo probably the best option of that bunch? Wallace's 44 average in 40+ mins as starting prop is tempting, but I've been burned by so many mid-range forwards this year.

Maybe I should just forget about trying to get Haas back in.

Is anyone else trading Haas and unlikely to bring him back in?

Obviously Cleary is a fine captain choice. He's averaging more than Haas. Hunt also a great captain option while playing HOK

Doesn't have to be Dearden, plenty of other options. I was just listing options looking at that price range without looking in depth. I would go Koro over Cook anyway
