Pivoted on trades now going with Taumalolo+Niu>AFB and McLean

McLean hangs around as full strength 18th man, which pushes Siro to 19 and Fermor to 20

Captain goes on Cleary as the popular option to hedge against a stinker like last week

Not that unusual that forwards score more points against better teams. Generally better teams have better completion rates which means more time with ball in play and more tackles to make. Shockingly players that are good at football like Matterson tend to get offloads and tbs regardless of opposition. Net result is higher base with similar attacking chances

How many trades left after this?

Are you gonna bring Haas back in?

You can also see in these games his tackle count is 40+, every other game is under 40 (barring the game against Dragons)

    Also some attacking stats boost:
3.2TB's per game against top-6 in 5 games, vs 1.5 against the bottom 8
    3LB's vs 0
    3T vs 0

Although MG average and OL basically equivalent.
I do think the 3 tries have clearly boosted the stats vs top-6, but still funny that his top two scores didn't involve a try and were against the Storm and Roosters.

Any consensus on which out of Offa or Wallace is the better pick? Did we heard anything more about Flegler? Fox sports has him season, but we know fox sports is shit. I guess there's a chance Offa keeps a starting spot all year whereas Wallace will definitely go back to the bench once Arrow is back.

    3. Smith - don't know if I want to place the C on an old man coming back from injury
    4. Carrigan - last week might be his ceiling
    5. McInnes - just don't think he scores as well starting at lock
    6. Cook - likely VC due to Thurs night game
    7. Tevaga - Matt says he's a 70 min player now

    Had a chuckle at #7.

I'm adding Teddy to list because I'm in the 25000's, but I understand why anyone with a decent rank would pass on him.

That was my worry re putting the C on Cleary as well, that Koro not being their could affect his scoring.

Last game Koro missed, Cleary he scored 59 against the Titans, one of his lower scores, but don't think you can relate it to Koro's absence.

He was just slightly down on attacking stats and slightly up on errors that week

And if 59 is a low score, it shows why he is a good captaincy option.

Fui getting suspended and then foolishly fighting the charge and getting a further week on the sideline is up there with one of my most frustrating moments this season looking at my team right now.

Especially when I only got one game from him before it.

What are you smoking? A player has already played 34 mins before getting an HIA, so your troll post says "could have potentially been shorter". Enough of the stupidity, give up trying.

    By your own stats:
    Rd 11 - 50 minutes, 23 minutes 2nd half
    Rd 12 - 51 minutes, 22 minutes 2nd half
    Rd 13 - 50 minutes, 19 minutes 2nd half
    Rd 14 - 38 minutes, 15 minutes 2nd half

    Rd 15 - 59 minutes, 25 minutes 2nd half
It's clearly possible that having to start in the 2nd half due to HIA free interchange that he may have gotten an increase in 2nd half minutes - especially given that he'd averaged 19 minutes per 2nd half prior to that, and there is a clear downward trend in 2nd half minutes prior to that... (if you want to talk correlation and trends)

Just maybe the original plan wasn't to have Tevaga start the 2nd half and rest Tohu Harris for instance...
That's the problem when you talk about things could've been different if things were different... well they weren't different... so... it's just opinion and conjecture.

I genuinely appreciate that you provide contrary opinions/arguments here, but when you have to resort to attacking the person refuting your "facts" then you've already lost the argument...

Yeah he's still my #1 and my concern about no-Koro is only very slight. I also have a lifelong prejudice against captaining backs in fantasy sports (mainly drafts) but Cleary's base seems to break the rules.

I still may still switch to Hunt though. I think I've narrowed to those two.

The attack was on the fact that a player that has already played 34 minutes in a half, then has an HIA, couldn't have played less than 34 minutes in that half as you were claiming in your troll post.

I have neither the time nor inclination to create a troll post.
Clearly he couldn't have played less first half minutes than he had played if he hadn't gotten an HIA - that doesn't make any sense???
I was simply suggesting his total minutes (59) could've also possibly been less had there not been an HIA and subsequent free interchange.

Given that people care more about total minutes than the number in any given half, I assumed that was the point you were suggesting was that total minutes could've been more... which it could've... or it could've been less... or it could've been the same... so what... Laughing

No the point I was making was that he could have easily played the full first half if not for the HIA.

Agree, I think Ofa has better job security, given he has played in the middle or on the edge - but would defer to Broncos' fans...
