if I didn't need a FRF to cover Haas/Mofo this week, i'd probably be on Matterson.
Better than most I would say the Chewie charge continues.Chewie wrote:

Tevaga minutes and length of first stint this season:
Rd 11 - 50 minutes, 27 minutes 1st half
Rd 12 - 51 minutes, 29 minutes 1st half
Rd 13 - 50 minutes, 31 minutes 1st half
Rd 14 - 38 minutes, 23 minutes 1st half
Rd 15 - 59 minutes, 34 minutes 1st half (HIA affected, could potentially have been longer, could have potentially been shorter)
There is acleartenuous correlation between 1st half minutes and total minutes in each game - this is because it's difficult to draw any correlation from a sample size of 5, of which two games appear to be outliers at this time.
Last season Tevaga had 3 games at lock averaging 50 minutes, by then he had built up his fitness to play an average of 70 minutes the rest of the season. When playing big minute games, he was also playing big minutes in the first half. Wearecould be seeing the start of that this season last round, but I don't really know because the coach is not last years coach, and team dynamics are different etc... but I'm really hoping that is the case

Ryan Matterson:
5 games vs top-6 teams this year (i.e. Panthers, Storm, Eels, Roosters, Raiders, Knights)
Floor: 75, Ceiling: 88, Average: 80.8 (his two highest scores didn't involve tries, the other three did).
Hasn't played 7th & 8th (Rabbitohs, Sharks)
6 games vs bottom-8 teams this year: (excluding 15min HIA game v Tigers)
Floor: 52, Ceiling: 59, Average: 54.3
Games remaining:
Panthers (1)
Rabbitohs (7)
Tigers, Warriors, Broncos (9,12,15)

There will be more carnage as well so I’d lean against going with one week wonder Host who will be useless to you next week if more injuries hit. If I had an extra trade I would bring in Ofa or Wallace.
I’m lining up with Siro and Koala as 16th and 17th man and I think that will hurt me but I’ll pray for a miracle and at least I can field 17.

That's really interesting. And while tenuous and I still wouldn't base any decisions on it, it's probably more evidence than usually cited when it comes to matchups. As well as being the opposite of what most would assume.

Host is a trap mate lol, he’s trying to lure you in like he does!wolfking wrote:
Yeah, depth wise, Matto and ofa/Wallce is the better play. Unless Host keeps the spot over Fui next week which could backfire. Dunno yet.
He’s 40k cheaper than Bateman which is what sold me.wolfking wrote:
So techincally based on that, he'll have more 50-60 games than higher games.
