Looks very similar this year. At the moment I’d just sneak into L3 next year and that’s with a 426 rank. But the way some are storming home you’ll probs need a top 400 finish if you wanna get into L3.standard-issue wrote:
1 v 4, 2 v 3 etc as per Chucky's post mate.
Last year there were 30 Fanatics in the Top 100, and this year there are 17 at the moment. I would expect that to increase with the way some are storming home. So yeah, even a Top 100 Overall finish doesn't quite guarantee an L1 berth!
I finished 360th last year from memory and just scraped in to L3!

Anyone else who owns Latrell and has to sell him to have 2 playing centres who are you looking at?
For me it’s Peachey for mine as I have the bank to do it. If I did not have as much bank I would’ve looked at C. Graham I reckon.
Peachey his last 10 games this season is avg 46.9. Even when MoFo and Arrow were in the side he was still getting around 50mins.
In the centres this year Campbell has avg 43.5. Last few games he’s scored a number of tries though so if that dries up a 25 point score may be around the corner and every so often he seems to have one of those games mixed in with the 40’s and 50 point scores.
Edit: Kotoni Staggs is another option but I dunno if I can go there with the hammy issues he’s had this year and when he doesn’t score a try in games he can score around 20 points.

If I miss L3 next year so be it, L4 or L5 would suffice. Obviously like all of us though I wanna finish as high as possible.

971 with 15 scorers, moved upto 1256 overall. Could have broke the 1000 barrier but went with Talau over McIntyre. Hopefully koro back next week along with mofo, to boost my numbers back to 18. But with koro and Yeo doubts, I'm likely to be playing 16 again. Fingers crossed for positive news.

I'm salty because he wasn't even a good pick
Imagine trading in a bench hooker to run in your 17 on a permanent basis
Bench hookers typically get in the range of 30-40 minutes for 20-30 points. Anyone that suggested starting with a bench hooker pre round 1 would be laughed at.
But because of some injuries, Havili is needed as a middle and he gets extra minutes. Then he scores a few lucky tries and sinks my ranking
I disagree Starling was a bad pick. A bit different if Hodgson was starting and they had Starling on the bench. Then he'd be a bench hooker.

So I need to deal with Latrell and Talua.
I have 1 024k to deal with it. I could grab Lomax and a CTR under 400k or divide the funds more evenly.

they really should be - how hard is it for Fantasy to reintroduce ranked leagues??? one feature that VSDT has it sorted over Fantasy, and great that fantasy fanatics affiliated leagues have won top spot the last few years.

Be interesting to see if JTurbo has anything to answer for after going on report for a crusher. Seemed like not much in it, but I thought the same with Haas and Mofo

Can't wait to have Haas back and auto captain him again
If Starling stays at 9, I'll probably look at looping him and Fitzgibbon week to week

Havili was the starter, same as other times Hodgson got injured or suspended and Havili played bulk minutes with the bench hooker getting minimal

That wasn't a crusher. He was still upright on his knees

Would be ridiculous if he does but you're right, it doesn't seem to take much to be charged. If both him and Yeo were to miss a week that would not be good

Top 100 is still no guarantee of L1.
I can’t remember my exact ranking last year but it was around 120-130 and I made it around half way through L2.
First round of semi’s is the same as in the NRL.
1v4
2v3
5v8
6v7.
I currently sit at overall rank 86
In the FOG I sit at 17

A really significant, intruiging year for me fantasy wise.
First year I have approached it seriously, didnt mean I wouldn't trade but took my best chaps each week.
Most notable is the luck, the randomness. I always use the app so don't have the best history access to quote etc, but it was around round 11 or 12 where I had seemingly assembled a good team and relatively early it felt. There was a stretch there where said team was banging out between 1000 and 1030 every week. Biggest curve ball was that very same team banging out sub 1000 a few weeks and this was not because of any carnage etc, just getting the other end of the 'average' I guess, all at the same time.
Took until the more recent rounds b4 I suffered some carnage and even all year doing little to no trading in centre, which was a preseason promise to myself to just have two able bodies in the centres and no focus or time spent on the position, for every other reason I now have 1 trade remaining.
Sitting at 340, so still my best finish is possible. But 1 trade could see me tailing off dramatically.
Just feels like a year where I was charging along, could really see the momentum and team firing, and then not even through bad choices it faltered. Still motivated by all means, but a huge reminder this is largely out of our hands.
Just wanted to share some BS, some like it, the inner ramblings of how our minds see the fantasy season, I could just be seeing what i want to see and lying to myself

Score 999 with overall rank back to 348. Haas and Mofo to return puts me in a good spot for the last 4 rounds.
