They will probably leave it as late as possible with the rushed prep. Only a week though so you think some ideas wouldn't be too far off.

I think Queensland are leaving it as late as possible so they will know the full availability of all their English, Welsh, Scottish, French, Irish, Canadian, US, Swedish, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, New South Wales, South Africa, German and Antarctican players.

Meanwhile, in other not-really-news news; Matt Burton is a key target for the Canterbury Bulldogs and now they've drawn up a Panthers priority list which includes Stephen Crichton and Isaah Yeo.

It seems that former Penrith assistant Trent Barrett is keen to exploit those connections to poach whoever he can... (he probably can't).

What a weekend. After watching a replay of the game on Monday....sober... I didn't really see much wrong with the game, but after reading the last 10 pages I won't bring it back up. Kind of sick of all the Storm hate. Cam Smith is a general, a champion a once in a lifetime player... He is the Lebron James of the NRL... Either love him or hate him, no in between.

Pappy deserved the CCM, well done to someone who was effectively behind Slater, Drinkwater and Hughes. Another one we picked up from the Tigers and turned into a star (Korobete, Fox, Pappy).

Keen for Origin!!! Hoping QLD can pull an upset for the ages... Don't see it happening though. Hopefully us stragglers around here can get in on a little MTB led comp.

I am picking a vastly different 2021 top 8 with all the signings going around.

Also MAD LOVE to Brandon Smith… Bloke was a menace in high school… drugs, partying, jumping on cop cars… He was headed down a very bad path. Moving out of the Cowboys and into the Melbourne system is what he needed. So happy to see him reach these heights. The kid is now a giant in the NRL social community and loved by everyone (with great help from Denan Kemp). Hope he, Smith and Grant can work their shit out… I would even go ahead and say BSmith is probably the greatest bench player in the NRL. I would love to keep him as an impact player.

Looking at the positives to get through the off season, one major positive is the whole Premiership running over. With origin finishing late Novemeber, we only really have 2 months of silence. Late Jan early Feb discussions heat back up and we are back into planning. That's a big plus this time around.
