Already had some dud scores with Doueihi, Walker and Bird and missed some of the big scores from commonly owned players I don't have (e.g. Walsh, Teddy etc.).
But the biggest debacle of the weekend was trading in DEdwards (DNP) for RTS (66).
Unfortunately, I was locked in before I found out he was omitted and wasn't able to trade in my reserves of Mead (73), Averillo (54) or Laurie (50).
To add insult to injury, 48 was my second lowest non-playing reserve but then good old Simpkins happened to sneak in for a cheeky 4 points, just to stuff up my auto-emergency scores too.
I clearly must have smote the fantasy gods.

I had Edwards too, but was able to deal with him.
I managed to sneak back into the top 20, but best thing is, forum members are 2 and 3rd currently, and 1st is no shot long term....

Well done mate and yeah especially stoked to see Pacey doing so well at the top - his team looks really well set for the first byre round too (although that changes week to week at the moment).

Did I read that Pacey was unwell or something? Glad he is doing well here and agree, his team is well set up.

Hey guys, thanks for the kind words and just to let you know that I'm doing OK. I had to take care of mum who was diagnosed with cancer and has since passed away. Since then, I have been taking care of a few things and have re-furbished the whole house and about to re-paint.
Pretty happy with the way things are going in this comp and hopefully me and a few other forum guys around me can keep going and finish strong. Best of luck guys.

Condolences Pacey - sorry to hear about your Mum. Taking care of someone with Cancer is really tough, but its good you were able to spend time with your Mum before she passed.

Looks like I have a bye in the first eliminator round. Ranked around 370, I think I’ll focus on the eliminator for the next little while rather than trade too hard over the bye period…

Bye in the Eliminator for me too. If Crichton is out I'll probably trade him to Hynes, although that is the current fate of Capewell.. don't really want to trade him though, I consider him a centre keeper... so we'll see

Think I'm going to play 5 FLBs in my starting team when Edwards comes back. This weeks trades are Pap/Laurie to Hynes/Walsh.
Eliminator is weird. Have only 3 common players. Tohu, Hynes and L.Thompson. They don't have Cleary and have Cpt Tohu. Think I'll stay with (C)Cleary.

Now they've changed CPT to Tommy T. Fair enough but while I have Tohu and T.T I won't play silly buggers and will stick with (C)Cleary
