    J Brailey
    Taumololo (vc), Lodge, Watson
    DFifita, Gilbert/Ford
    Cleary (c), Lam
    Kelly, Marsters
    Tedesco, RTS, Trbojevic

    Liddle, Kolomatangi, Davey, Riki

    Blore, Averillo, Niu, DLaurie

My thoughts: Out of Hass, McInnes and Cleary for captain, Cleary is the one with the least question marks. Will also consider Munster and DCE as gun halves if GK.
Hard to leave out all of McInnes, Cook and Grant but hoping Brailey can score around 50. Watson, Liddle provide cover.
Taumololo seems like the no brainer gun pick as middle (better value than Haas). Also considered Angus and Harris, but ended up with David Fifita down in edge for cheaper.
Went with tackle breakers/offloaders with Kelly and Marsters (think he will bounce back this year with more ad-lib style footy played by Cowboys).
Fullbacks are guns, think RTS averages 55 this year in a better Warriors outfit.

Thats a very vanilla side for you. Normally look forward to a few out of the box picks each season. I like the RTS pick. That forward pack will be totally different to play behind this season compared with last year. If TLT throws up some more rookie WFBs like it normally does, will you keep the WFB heavy line up?

Yes, not keen on going any cheap wingers/centres as scoring options (BSimonsson). Prefer Niu, DLaurie but not sure I want them as scoring players. Don't like that Tigers draw and after the Aekins/Kennedy/Williame debacle last year I'm going a different tack this year. Missed Lomax last year haha
Anyway, there is a plethora of options in the forwards this year my plan is to go cheaper there to start.

Me too. Simonsson actually looks quite class, I think Simonsson will be on the right wing? Edge of Williams, CHN/Young, C.Scott and Simonsson…. Could find a lot of points

I also like Niu though. If they play him similar to Staggs he should see some nice early ball… Not sure about his TB abilities but seems to have the body to find some… Only issue is will their attack increase? Most their points last year came down that edge so I think both options are more than viable. Only difference is Simonsson probably stays the year and Niu has until Staggs gets back

I'll probably still have Niu. I like him and he's a nuggety little guy, I think he will go ok at centre. Bit worried about that edge though with Milford + Niu + Coates defending together (actually sounds disastrous), plus the Broncos being shit in general, could score plenty of 20s and just be a complete fail. Could also be one of the first players dropped from the backline if things are going badly.

Seems like a lot of Manly fans are of the opinion that Olakau'atu will get the edge spot. Super cheap so if he does he will slip into everyones teams on TLT.

Not much point reading into the early trials as there will be four game that will only feature players with fewer than 12 games in 2020.

On another note went looking into B.Xerri... didn't realise his ban was for four years. There was something in Dec about him appealing the ban but nothing since.

He looked good when given the chance last year and has a big motor for a big fella... From most reports Davey is ahead for the spot??

I think TLT will throw a bunch of spanners in a lot of peoples teams

Source is the ever reliable Wacko's Whispers

Sea Eagles starting hooker for 2021 will be Lachlan Croker #TTHD
Davey/Gosiewski fighting for starting edge position
Saab to start on 1 wing with Garrick spot on other wing under threat from Christian Tuipulotu

Lachlan Croker averaged 23 points in 30 minutes when sharing hooking time with Levi last year.

I'm guessing he won't be an 80 minute hooker, but will he get enough to be useful?

I wouldn't be interested in Cust as hooker, but Croker is cheap enough to be tempting

I don't think I could do it and I've been burned by Levi. Des is pretty unpredictable with selections and rotations. Croker might score 50 in 60 mins in round 1, 20 in 40 mins in round 2, then be on the bench round 3.

Can't remember rapana ever playing left wing.

Jesus. Is that Riki's edge too? At least if it's Glenn's there'd be more experience.

    Yeah - looks ugly eh.

That's why I thought maybe they start with Teo for 20 mins then bring Riki on, but it doesn't really solve any issues. I just have to hope (as a Broncos fan) that some certainty around starting spots over the full pre-season has given them some time to get used to the combo's

Pangai defending on the edge caused more problems than it solved, his eagerness to get up and in usually left them shot out wide, but it seems like his edge days are over.

Manly are surely going to be forced to buy a hooker this year. Seems crazy to run with literally nobody with experience there in the busiest position on the park.

Same as Egan I just can't pick players that aren't good and might get dropped

Train and trial with Tigers I think

I don’t think he was ever in Manly squad though, I think he was in Blacktown feeder team the whole team
