I can remember reading a quote from him saying that Des wanted him to drop his running game and become more of a distributor, obviously he didn't...

Re: NRL Fantasy 2021 Part 3 - Closer
Just going through the list of some cheap players not getting much of a mention...
Asiata - Could see an increase in work load and minutes with Haas gone for 3 weeks... priced in the mid 20's so if he can find some mid 30 scores he can make some money
R.Smith - Priced at 22 and on the same wing where Suli averaged 32 points last year
Arthars - DPP and priced at 21... is he due for the other centre spot?

Not consistent enough. Scores generally in the 20s and 30s then has the occasional 70. That would do your head in unless looping him, looking for just the big scores.StormTrooper96 wrote:Anyone keen on Sitili at 485K now Cordner is out for most the year (probably retired)

Puts him due back around R3-5... could be enough time for someone like Shane Wright to make some coin
EDIT: Didn't realise Wright was nearly 450K

Farnworth has the left centre spot pretty much locked in (and you could argue he is tempting at 350k)
The left wing is pretty open and could be one of many... mead/oates/arthurs/kennar, i havent seen anything concrete to suggest who is leading the race. Personally I thought Kennar was quite good last year, I'd pick him.

Bummer, had nice DPP too. Will be a good pick-up for a failed cow in round 4 or 5.

I don't plan to have any failed cows though
NRL physio says 4-8 weeks, so could be back by R1 anyway.

Yeah, I'm going for a perfect round 1 team as well, so may not need Gilbert
If he played for the Raiders he would be up and running in 3 weeks

Was more a quip suggesting he should. Bloke is gonna miss 12 weeks of the season and Roosters asking for Salary Comp
Wouldn't surprise me if he medically retires so they just get his full salary for another player.

To be fair to Easts, because Cordner copped his last head knock in rep footy they are eligible to recieve compensation under the NRL rules

Damn, took me a while to warm to him but I was all aboard. Sadness, but exciting to find a replacement.

He was a feature of my early drafts, but not in my team at the moment. He had a solid run at the Titans a couple of seasons ago and I actually quite like the fella as a player. If he gets a reliable enough-looking starting spot, I will definitely be tempted.

Starting to like the looks of Hopoate recently.
Priced at 29, long-term average at centre is 35. In 2019 averaged 43 at CTR.
Best part is that, filtering for 30+ minute games, he's never scored below 20 starting at centre since 2015. May not always get huge scores, but won't let you down either. Might be worth it to punt Averillo back to the EMG.
