Yeah, it seems a strange one to me. The same article he talked about how it is "his" team now.

I actually can't find the info about Fog swapping sides, I can't recall where I read it. It was in late January..

This article seems to confirm that Taylor is on the left still though - https://www.titans.com.au/news/2021/01/21/left-edge-nearly-right-to-go-says-kelly/

Will keep an eye on the trial but a second half priced at 50 probably doesn't fit my team make up. He'd have to be #1 if I was to run it.

    EDIT i think i've been SCAMMED !!!

There is no way he can get more game time (unless you think he can play the entire season uninterrupted and get that extra 21 seconds a week) Do you think he will improve his workload at the Knights?

Also, how do you think Fitzgibbon out helps Watson? Barnett to edge when he would otherwise have started lock?
Fitzgibbon missing about a month, so if I only wanted Watson as lock (and didn't want him as a bench player) I am not sure this injury would be enough to sway me

Barnett is in the leadership group, so I assume he'll get a decent role, whether that is middle or edge.
More likely Watson gets huge minutes at lock, if Barnett plays 80 on the edge, than if he played some middle. Ese Ese also not there now helps the Watson cause for big minutes.

What suggests he won’t get 80

They had Hunt at HOK for parts last year and McInnes played 2 games below 80 mins (1 HIA and 1 in a blowout)

The last time he played below 65 mins barring injury was 2018
He won’t I don’t think if he’s going to Cronulla to play lock they have strong depth in the middles. If he’s gonna spell Brailey then he could get 80mins.

If he stays with the Dragons this year I can’t see Griffin giving him 80mins just my opinion what my gut is telling me. I guess it will depend on the bench rotation.

Macca is a tackling machine as well so maybe McInnes doesn’t make quite as many tackles.

    Others who have the potential:

Fogarty: averaged 61.4 in 80-minute games between rounds 9-19 last year.

Saifiti: He's 24 now, touching on 100 first grade games, another Origin series under his belt, and in eight 50+ minute games last year he averaged 59.9.

AFB: Unlikely but if the Warriors decide to play him 60+ minutes his average is 62.

Tino: Everyone's on him already and I think it would take a heap of attacking stats, but not impossible I guess.

Mahoney: Into his third year as a starter. Went from averaging 51 in 80 minute games in 2019 to 56 in 80 minute games in 2020. Not inconceivable he adds another 5 points to that this year? Maybe gets less minutes with Lussick and Roache hanging around.

Horse: A sample size of two whole games, but he averaged 61 when playing 60+ minutes last year. Can't see him getting that much of a role obviously.

Brown: Priced at 55, but averaged 65 in a 70+ minute lock role last year. Only a 6 game sample size. Unlikely to get those minutes consistently you'd think.
Why randomly exclude Fogarty scoring 22 in 80 mins in R20

He averaged 57 points from round 11 to 20 is probably a better way to put it. Right in line with Moses season average for exactly $100k less.
Exactly $200k less than DCE as well and will play round 13.

As MTB said though playing on the left it is likely he won’t see quite as many kick metres which I think will affect his scoring a bit.

There is a team article saying he is playing right edge (setting up Fifita), about the same time as a Moley tweet saying he will play left side. Which do you trust?

Yeah there's loads of media where they see Blayke as their long-term hooker. I think with the faster game there is a legitimate trend emerging of having a smaller, more mobile 3rd middle - McInnes, Tevaga, Watson, Peachey etc. Sharks have some aging plodders (Woods, Tolman, Fifita) so McInnes signing to play lock for them makes sense for the club. Also makes sense for McInnes, as despite his fantasy god status, there is a belief he doesn't offer enough in attack from dummy half.

EDIT: I missed the most successful small middies - Yeo (not that small but was an edge/CTR and has some ball skills), Cheese, Radley

    Ah thanks for that.

I’ll keep Fog in mind closer to origin but I need Cleary and half cheaper than Fog to start the year.
