If the Roosters halfback spot is a 2 horse race, its between Lam and keighran.
All comments from club suggest Walker is not ready yet. They could be bluffing, but I would think Walker would be a waste of a spot in your fantasy team

How many short(ish) term injury replacements are people considering.
Tex Hoy, Matt Lodge, Maybe Stimson/Hetherington. Possibly Daine Laurie depending on how Doueihi coming back effects Mbye.
You don't want to be in a position in round 4 or 5 when a bunch of your players get benched/dropped.

Incidentally, i've seen that the reason Munster wasn't goalkicking yesterday was because he wasn't at training, rather than he was there and got overlooked.
I assume he'd be practising even if he wasn't first choice

I’d probably consider Hoy if Knights specifically said Ponga is out for 5-6 rounds, rather than news so far being from journos
Could also potentially add Moylan (SJ ahead of schedule and may shift to FB)

I don't think Hetherington is a replacement, although his role might go down a little when Thompson back. The other three or four are risks.
In answer to your question, all of them except Lodge (think there are others who will average the same as him or more but are cheaper), but hopefully more solid info on Ponga injury and Laurie role soon.

.
Hetherington is like Lodge in that he could well still be in the team when Haas/Thompson come back, but the role would presumably change.
Having 1 guy for 4-5 weeks is OK, if he will score well enough to make cash. but if you have a guy for a month and he puts up 1 poor score in that time, then cash generation is gone.

Tevaga gives away the exact some penalties and we all still love him.
Don't get me wrong, I think he's still a level below Tevaga but he's still got that ability to bust the opposition wide open. Can't think of many teams that wouldn't want him in their 17.
I just hate watching him play. Doesn't do any hard yards, just gets the ball and runs across field. Every.Single.Time.

True. Hetho prob has better cash potential than Lodge simply because he's 70k cheaper than Lodge with a lower BE. Also, marginally, Thompson's suspension is four games and Haas's is three. (This assumes Jack doesn't get suspended himself. I imagine he has a fair bit of weighting.)

Just saw something NRL looking at handing harsher penalty down to Haas???

Lodge has a much better scoring history than Hetho though. Would trust him more to put some decent scores in, especially if planning to play in your 17.rhinoceroo wrote:

The 3 weeks + $50k was already a penalty handed down by the NRL
$50k was the maximum fine they could impose, and they are reviewing that as a maximum, but that would be for future player indiscretions, not the Payne Haas one they just dealt with

Hetho one of those players who looks like they could go big, just held back by the minus scores. Id sooner take the punt on him than Lodge.

I think I’ll avoid if I can - although Laurie at non-rookie base price is most tempting. Prepared to look silly if one of them does a Will Kennedy.

Are people of the belief Lodge is coming in to replace Haas? I was of the belief Lodge would be his starting partner and someone like Carrigan, TPJ, Flegler would be filling the Haas void?

For the first 3 rounds, assume it will be Lodge, Carrigan and TPJ as 3 starting middles.
Haas will displace one of them, which may or may not be Lodge
