Most of Wests forum seem to think Mbye will be fullback from Round 2. Wests fans on here seem to differ. Would be helpful to hear noises from the club in the next few weeks.
The problem would be if Laurie doesn’t play (or plays 6) in Rd 1 and Mbye kills it. If Laurie plays FB in Rd 1 then lock him in for Rd 2. He’d have to have a shocker or get injured to lose the 1 fir Rd 2. Keep an eye out to see who is training where this week, that will give you a good idea. Obviously trials TLT too. He only arrived today, there won’t be much said by the club for a while.

His PPM even when having played some games at prop worries me due to the missed tackles and penalties given away.

    Not sure on him yet.

They also say Niu will be FB over Isaako, gees that would be nice if both of those turned out to be true.

There's lots of things to worry about with him, but it could be high reward. Athletic guy who can pop an offload and always looks like he can score a try, though never has yet. Should flourish with a faster pace and we haven't really seen much of him as a starting prop. With the Warriors last year he barely got any carries (played second row despite being named prop for his bigger minute games), while he'll be the Dogs' A prop at least until Thompson gets back.

Will that Dogs pack spend much time going forward? He’s my 3rd Middle at present, but he’s a huge risk! If I could find the 29k I’d prefer LAM!

Well whilst Thompson is out you’d think Hetherington gets 45-50mins.

Hopefully we get a bit of a look at him in the trials. Well if I can’t watch him hopefully someone on here watches him and reports how he goes.

Apologies to Jock Madden, whom I know next to nothing about, but would love to see us roll with a big skillful running 5/8 from Round 2 in Doohickey. Agree with Pascoe, Mbye makes for a great 14.

I'm still waiting for the forum to find out that the Dogs other starting prop while Thompson serves his suspension is likely to be... Joe Stimson.

What’s up with Napa? If that’s the case Hetherington may see closer to 55mins.

I won’t ever pick Stimson again! Geez what a flop last year appalling and I started with the kent!

Round 4-5 is when he'll be at 14. Calling it Smile

I'd go Stimson again if he had job security.
One poor game last year, and then got injured in his 2nd.

I'd be happy to run him again, although would prefer edge to middle

Madden is more a half, but Madden is important for Rd 1 as he would be GK since Momo left and AD is suspended (plus gets a game in 1st grade under his belt). AD has 5/8 for Rd 2 guaranteed and will get the GK back.

Yep, good to give Madden a taste early, I hope you're right about Doueihi having the 6 to lose.

Same here. Nothing wrong with his starting edge stats, particularly at his price this year.

Maybe having Napa and Hetho as starting props would be too wild. The Stimson info is just from looking at the Dogs forum, by the way, I have no inside info and they're all down on Napa. It may be that Stimson is just bench.

That does leave dogs looking pretty thin though.

Adam Elliot at lock, if playing 65+ mins, could average 55. His stats for big min games in 2020 were pretty good

Back from a Shoulder reconstruction and in full training with the team (so should start Round 1).

If he gets those minutes then could be a good option for under $600k, and recently signed on a 3 year extension.

Trent Barrett mentioned him the other day as one of the key players brining experience, so you'd think he's pretty safe in the line-up.

Lets say Papy takes on GK fulltime.. in a good side like the Storm that should be 6+ points per game. Does make him pretty tempting as an alternative to Teddy

Has been firmly on my radar as starting WFB even before this news

I think his slow start to the season fantasy wise was an anomaly and I still believe he has the best floor of any WFB

If I end up with a gun WFB it will probably be Papy

There is no player that is not named round 1 I would have in my squad. I've been burnt too many times over the years by these ultra talented young players expected to debut through the year, only for them to never end up playing or only getting a few games. Michael Chee Kam was a potential fantasy star for 3 years before he got his debut and failed to live up to the hype. Darcy Lussick was a popular cheapie for 2 years prior to his debut. Even last year if you started with Cody Ramsey the season would have been over before he was useful.

When they do eventually make their NRL debut I would normally watch them for atleast 1 game before bringing them in to make sure they are actually up to first grade standard. This is how I ended up with Grant and Fogarty last year, but missed guys like O'Donnell. Sure, sometimes you miss a 40 point debut, but more often then not it will work out
