Jeez that's awkward. Hope the kid's good to go for round one but doesn't seem likely.

I am learning more about what the team structure should look like with every iteration. Takes time to work things out.

    Lam Liddle Riki Davey
    Niu Blore Laurie Brittain(placeholder)

+13k there is some players I prefer were in the team like lodge but this team leaves me with 5 top tier guns as well as Turbo and RTS who are keepers as well as bird and roberts who should be meaning, barring injury of course, that is 4 positions which have set and forget players in them. I would prefer a little more depth on my bench though but the team still looks good

EDIT: I don’t really like RTS though so will probably chuck laurie back there, get lodge and spend the change elsewhere

Each time a cow or gun drops out of contention, the more the posted fantasy teams look alike. Big money in WFB, HLF, EDG, then ah mau, watson, liddle, brailey, davey, blore, niu riki as cows in mid and bench, and then some people will put a bit extra cash into the centres for bird, roberts, hopoate and the like or spread it to the leftover positions. If cows and guns keep falling rd1 teams may become more and more alike.

Having another look, there appears to be heaps of value at CTR this year.

Players valued around 300 to 350k that are undervalued

D Walker, Opacic, Roberts etc. Not too cheap but also likely to pull their weight and make cash slowly without pulling out too many dud scores. I think someone already mentioned Hopoate for a little bit more and of course Bird. I think I am going to load up on four CTRs so I don't have to make any trades in this position. Just shift Averillo to one of these players

Nah, central cross-over ligaments are common across joints.

Wacko seems to think Asiata is locked in to start at 13 for Broncos in round 1 with TPJ taking 1 prop spot. I assume this means Carrigan gets the other spot with Lodge on the bench

I have seen predicted team lists with Asiata at lock, before Haas got suspended, still seems hard to believe. Asiata averages 30 in 42 minutes at lock, so as tempting as he seems at $300k, is probably a pass, given he likely goes to the bench for round 4. I wonder if they are specifically wanting a ball playing lock, will be interesting to see.

Would leave Riki with an edge.

Running no gun hooker in lieu of Brailey, Liddle, and Watson makes the team balance THAT much better in regards to position coverage with solid players with no ??? over their selection 3 rounds down the track. Other guns are Crichton, Matterson, Tedesco, Cleary

Can a man or woman with a bigger brain than me please tell me if Koala's 38.2 average when playing >40 mins (mean of 46 mins) was achieved on the edge he might start at now.

He was playing in the middle off the bench last year at least most of the time.

Is Paix expected to be on bench with McCullough likely to leave

Turpin decently underpriced if above 60 min

Thinking that if you have Oates on the bench covering backs and forwards, they wouldn't need to.

If there is an injury in the halves, Asiata has played there before (15 games as starting 6 and 7)

At full strength, can have a bench of Oates, Asiata, Flegler, Lodge

Neither of those are going to play hooker tho.

Dont think they view turpin as an 80 min hooker at the moment.

Walters was planning to start macca and bring turpin off the bench, if macca is gone then they will likely play Paix

Made a team, and read the last couple of threads. Kinda proud of myself for not thinking about the game till now. I'm coming in fresh, and quite frankly dangerous.

Great info here, as usual, thanks for that. Hope everyone has a fun season!

Also, I want some of what Rabbit's mate is smoking
