Also, I get the sense that Madden is going to be first choice to start as Tigers 5/8. Or is that wishful thinking.

Does anyone think that Simpkins (228k) is now in with a shot to replace Blore for the Tigers. He did well in the trial game. If named you would be mad not to play him.

The other smokey (not without risk) is Drinkwater at the Cowboys. DPP WFB/HLF and if you cut out the crap in the middle of the season including the three games where he played FB (where he scores less), there seems to be quite some upside.
I know he was a major disappointment last season - but perhaps it is worth a shot?

It looks like he'll be playing fullback, if anywhere. As you say, his scores are lower there.
Douehi would be getting some DPP WFB/HLF love if he wasn't suspended for the first round. Would be a strong third WFB to consider anyway.

I think he's a wait & see just to check if his defense has improved. I remember when RTS came to the Warriors his defense was awful & half the time he had his head on the wrong side & he did get knocked out 1 time. But his defense did improve & he ended up being a very good tackler.

Would not Holmes have FB sewn up. Where would Drinkwater play if not 5/8?

If Madden plays round 1 then Brooks you would think would get big kick mtrs & be the dominant play maker.

Last year Peachey played lock with Arrow coming back on in the front row. Likely to be similar this season.
I love your definition of the word "likely"

Some people think Tino will play bulk minutes at lock. Some people think Peachey might. Its unlikely that they are both right.
Yes, it’s all guesswork at this early stage. My guess is Tino plays similar to Arrows minutes, and Peachey plays similar to Peacheys minutes. I’m not keen on Tino at all as a mid ranger, and semi-interested in Peachey as a potential set and forget centre

Just a few weeks ago most people would have thought Blore was little chance of starting at the Tigers because of Garner.
Now it seems Simpkins is favourite for the spot.
I read somewhere Garner was training at lock. Even if that was true at the time he might move back to edge with Blore injury. Simpkins showed enough in the trial to think he's worth a shout. The trouble would be if Blore comes back round 4 and starts, then that's a bit of a waste.

Copley will miss at least the first month of nrl. Dont know if he was in with a shot of starting but that would be one less player who could push Niu out of the side

Anyone interested if Tracey starts at fullback for the Sharks if SJ won’t be back within the first 6 rounds?
283k I think Tracey is.

I am just really hoping someone besides Moylan is available for my 3rd WFB, if Riki starts over Oates I need to find someone cheap.
Not confident in Simonsson with his base, he would need tries to be worthwhile.... I don’t think he’s averaged over 30 either in his couple of seasons of playing wing.

Regarding Peachey at starting lock.
“I know I’ve said everyone is going well but Peachey is training fantastic,” coach Justin Holbrook said.
“He’d obviously be keen to keep that position but we’ve got great competition there.
“If Peach plays great in the trial he’s a good chance.”
Holbrook said selecting Peachey (183cm, 87kg) at lock would not require a quantum shift in tactics or game plan despite the size difference between him and position rivals Fa’asuamaleaui (197cm, 112kg) and Ese’ese (186cm, 107kg).
“Peach plays well above his weight and he’s just as hard to tackle as the big guys are,” he said.
“They can both play front row, no issue, and Tino can obviously play back-row as well.
“Peach is a great player. He’ll slot in somewhere
Id say Peachey is the new Black Widow but God i would be tempted if TLT had him at 13.
