It’s hard to narrow down to a ‘best’ 3... obviously you need Welshy, mattnz, Welshy, SI, Welshy, but that leaves no room for Mulvy, Fishes and Welshy - who are cookie cutter must-haves.

    Too much value!

    Also lol!

To get just NRL and Cricket in NZ we need to pay at least $83 per month for Sky with Sport plus Spark Sport. Total rip off.

Yeah I'm also in NZ. Just got rid of full Sky and went to Apple TV and Sport +. Stream the cricket and Airplay to Apple TV.

Would much prefer Kayo (sky sport isn't great), but it's difficult to run a VPN on Apple TV (plus you lose the TVNZ etc apps) and I don't like using other countries for VPN on PC. So technically I could but this way is a bit better.

    Hi Lads,

Came across this site late last year in the fantasy season and your input helped me get a season best rank of 64! Keen to get amongst the chat.

Also just signed up in the registration thread. Hopefully I'm not too late.

    - Dogs have offered basically double Brisbane's offer for Piakura, he's waiting to see how things pan out this year (as are a lot of Broncos players)
    - Isaako fittest at the club.
    - negotiating with Capewell for next year but capewell wants a bit too much at the moment.

Would you say Isaako is training the house down? He had my curiosity, but now he has my attention.

No threat to his GKing eh?

edit: He's a bit more expensive than I thought.

Drove past the Broncs today and there is a new construction site opposite.....I am going to wager that the houses that were previously there have all been trained down by Isaako.
One of the sunshades at the bowls club was also on a lean...I hear Milford is responsible

if last year showed us anything, rule #1 of owning Papy is that you do not sell him unless he gets injured or rested. A lot of people got burned last year by selling him after round 6 (he averaged 37 up to that point), and then he averaged 55 from that point onward

I've been doing that this whole time, my reasoning is that you can get Crichton, Grant, Cook or Lolo for the same price as Teddy or less, and have much more consistent scores.

The opportunity cost of picking Tedesco over one of the other 800k+ guns is just too great, especially since he'll miss at least one game for Origin and get rested for at least one more most likely.

As for when to buy Ted, round 5-6 is the best time I think, it's what I did last year. You can sell two peaked cows for another cow and Teddy, in my case last year it was JHop and BBrailey for Paix and Teddy.

Having "he'll miss a couple of games over Origin" as one of your reasons for not starting him, then picking him up halfway to Origin doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense.

Saw a good post by NRL fantasy amateurs with video where early rounds he was used up middle and later rounds he attacked more on edge at retreating CTR which led to increased TAs and attacking stats

Even early season he was soooo close multiple times to cutting up the middle, was literally getting finger dragged down.

His floor is incredible for a WFB, not seen much like it.

The reasoning is that you either get him at round 5-6 or wait till after Origin, and I feel that waiting that long is too long.

I don't like the idea of starting with him since you can get someone much more consistent than him for the same price. By starting with Teddy, you're giving up the opportunity to start with a different 800k+ player, almost all of whom are much more consistent scorers.

This isn't Supercoach, where Teddy is by far the best player

It's been a multi-year trend that Teddy has a couple quiet games early on before going nuts after the first few rounds, and I intend to use the saved cash elsewhere in my team.
