Not saying this will happen but won’t teams become more wise to him this year. I ain’t no footballer tactician but even I know to charge Clearly on the last. Luai isn’t kicking it

There is that possibility but everyone knew Thurston would dummy and go. Everyone knew Hodges would run it out of acting half.

Teams might be wiser to his tricks but whether they can stop it is another thing.

Yeah, still undecided on Nofo. Might have been a fluke last year. Pappy over him is the smart play. Still time to think.

Not sure you can factor that in mate, Tino for his bigger role

Fifita for his higher than advertised 80 minute average

All good. Fog should at least maintain, be good as a Fifi/Tino stack and additional GK

Not a fluke for Nofo mate but always goes around the same, Papy with GK, edges for me

    Watson Riki Davey LAM

    Avo Laurie Hoy Simpkins

The whole bench depends on TLT but if it comes off having Ted, Nofo, Fifi, Cleary and Crichton looks so good.  Not confident in Davey or LAM but will sit on that.

Not bad not bad, no Niu? No Brooks?

    What’s the thinking with Opacic?

No hooker like Macca or Cook interesting......

Genuine consensus is starting with 5-7 genuine guns from previous seasons averages? From what I've seen from most teams anyway

I think I'd rather Fifi and Crichton over an expensive hooker. Watson and Brailey should do the trick.

Niu could go in over any of the others but this team only leaves 13K. I don't really see the appeal of Brooks honestly. Why all of a sudden are we expecting bigger things?

I like Opacic as a player. I think he'll add value to the Eels. A bit of a smokey.

Found it hard to get 5 of those guns in. How are people fitting 6 or 7 in. Waiting for a kind TLT I'm guessing.

Just makes him a safter option I think mate, Nofo always ends up around 50, Papy with GK should get there even if he regresses, but potential for more

With not much sample size it’ll be interesting to see how Lam does go!

If Keary is back round 1 he will run the show.

I’m just not convinced Lam can avg around 43-45 which is what you need to make him worth while.

There may be some games where he only gets say 220 kick metres and 16-17 tackles and a score in the low 30’s......

I am tempted to maybe ditch Lam and have Cleary and Brooks in my halves and Averillo in emergencies who covers halves....

Anyone got Hetherington in their side? Thompson isn’t back til round 5.

Hetherington could see 50ish mins at prop. I think he’s priced at 23 or 24.

    I am tempted.

I guess you can count someone like Macca as a gun based on small sample under new rules

I guess the definition of gun has tiered last 2 years, Cleary/DCE on their own followed by a glut of high class options below, I'd still class Munster as a gun in the halves but in reality he's well down on last seasons average

cut off for Edge looks like 55+ for uber gun, same for Middle

If he gets a start and Thompson out for a month then yeah, I'd definitely be interested.

Whilst you should never just plop a replacement player in same score bracket as their predecessor, I think Lam has all the tools to match the scoring we seen from Flanno minus the GK.

Top class team still, and FLannos 11 TAs are not hard to replicate, Lams tackle number are quality like Flannos. KM will be the crux but Keary has never dominated that so I'm expecting Lam to at least match the 250km a game

Throw in Kearys fairly hefty injury history and Lam is a pretty safe middie with GUN potential for me. I think 45-48 without too much fuss

Yeah, I've got him currently. Surer value than LAM/Leniu/Poasa at least until his first punch-up
