Niu sitting at 21 knowing he'll get DPP before the start of the season has been one of the few constants in my drafts.

This is why regardless of form run you always go on long term scoring average. Using a string of high scoring games and expecting to replicate is asking for trouble.easytiger wrote:
Jarome Luai averaged 58.7 across his last 6 regular season games.
That puts him 13.7 points undervalued ($183k).
All aboard...

Really struggling to pick anyone on my bench/Emg that I am satisfied with
I do think it is fair to say that the Luai that finished the season was a very different player to the one at the start of the season. The same in Fogarty's case.Milchcow wrote:
Nah, he's just a slow starter, let him drop price in the early rounds and pick him up when he's cheaper.
Not that I use ownership when selecting players, but Luai is owned by like 9% of players, so seems some people genuinely like easytiger's logic.
Not sure if that makes POD lovers more or less optimistic about his scoring.
Please bare in mind mate these are my own point predictions and in no way reflect the groupthelastdodo wrote:If the FOG is predicted 48-55 and BROOKS is predicted 45-48 doesn't this make Brooks a better buy @ $122k less for a points difference of 3-7 points ?

Do you? What sort of scores are you expecting from him?
The average you are looking at includes 1.5 try assists and 2 goals per game. How likely is that to continue?
There's a lot of guys in the $3-400 range who I would be more confident on than Averillo. He'll be in my 21 for sure though if he is fit to start.

Capewell has enough sample size for me where I can’t see the uptick past 5-7 points increase so just makes him too middie for me. Reckon I can get that from Riki for cheapermattnz wrote:
Wouldn't expect any of them to be getting 80 minutes each week. At a slightly higher price point, you can get Capewell or Tupouniua who should both play 80 minutes.

Hmm yea the names I was looking at, all with questionable roles even if named to start round 1 which is a bit concerning!
Are we expecting Kolo to get DPP?
Really throws out team balance not having a guaranteed cheaper option in the position siggggh
Waddell still high up the list, regardless of how bad he was in trial his 80 average is still over 40. I really want BMM but can’t see a clear bigger minutes role I want from him to absorb his non attack attacking gamesIron Mike wrote:
Davey if starting might be the only one I go for. Going off Koloamatangi at present because other options like Welch and Brandon Smith have popped up with Grant and Finucane going down and needed the money.
Think both can go 50-55s for opening 6 rounds.
