I’ve updated my team three times today and I know it is pointless changing it before 4pm.

I if Josh Curran gets a start in the 2nd row, is he a good enough pick for starting 17? Minutes will be the issue. Tohu plays 80 at lock. So are we thinking BMM will split mine with Curran 40/40?

If Josh Curran starts round 1 in the 2nd row, where will he start in round 2 when Eliesa Katoa comes back.

If he starts for more than 1 round, how many points will he score? He has been a poor fantasy scorer in the past.

    I don't think I'd have him in my 17.
I might have him in my 18-21 depending on who else is available. But that is doubtful as I am not confident in job security.

I am a big QLD fan and I love the Broncs but hard to see them going much better than the spoon looking at that line up now :/

Are we going to get a few random teams named/leaked before 4pm?

Rabbits are specials for naming their team early, yeah?

I know it's been covered plenty of times but I forgot so bear with me. What do you reckon happens when Haas gets back? Is it lodge that goes to the bench or someone else??

i think it will just come down to form over the first few weeks. Lodge and Haas were training as the starting props before haas got in trouble, but that was a while ago now, so maybe not so relevant.

I'd say it is more likely that Lodge keeps the starting spot given he's the senior prop, but who knows. I think Carrigan's career may benefit from less responsibility playing 40 mins off the bench for a while.

Yeah fair call. I'm still gonna start with Lodge and see how it goes.

Ie poor job security high ownership ‘trap’ that we all laugh at but they go on to score large and find a way to hang around in the team.

Thoughts on final go before Team lists?

    Cook
    ACrich, Lodge, Watson
    Fifi, Riki
    Cleary, CHT
    Bird, Niu
    Teddy, Laurie, Pappy

    Lam, Brailey, Liddle, Leniu
    Moylan, Simmonson, 246k/228k, 228k

Niu will be starting Ctr granted he gets his DPP.

Little worried about edge cover but hoping someone comes out of the woodwork this arvo.

Not bad. You do have Crichton DPP to cover Edge. Not sure if there will be many bottom dollar cows. (Ieremia is the only one that comes to mind)

Looks solid. Not sure on the cook.pick since you have cleary for captain. Allow moylan to roberts as starting centre and nui as cover if your turn cook into a cheaper gun.

He's probably middie range - but good affordable buy. I'm anticipating high 40s

Edge is a tricky position this season, especially with CHN, Gilbert, and possibly Ford unavailable.
That leaves Riki, BMM, Waddell, and Gosie as value options. hmmm

Jeez the Tigers opening draw along with that Broncos opening draw looks reasonably hard.

Has made me second guess Isaako and Brooks in my team.

I know draws shouldn't come into it but given there is so many options and combinations for your round 1 team surely if you are looking for value should the first 6-7 weeks come into it if you are trying to treat your non-guns as value/cash cow players?

Broncos have Eels, Titans, Bulldogs, Storm, Rabbitohs, Panthers, Eels to start. All teams that are expected to be top 8 except the Bulldogs. Doesn't really affect forwards but can affect backs if they never see the ball.

Tigers have Raiders, Roosters, Knights, Eels, Cowboys, Rabbitohs so not quite as bad so shouldn't really affect a half.
