At Manly he had Koro and Fainu, both great running hookers, then when he moved to Panthers, he had Koro again. Offers something that neither JMK or Katoa do, which the very best hookers in the comp do offer.

he's got an exemption to get a run this week, when JMK and Katoa are healthy, which is looking like next week, he's literally not allowed to be selected.

They have a spot in their 30 available and Barrett likes what he sees in him. Any discussions around Burton coming across involve a player swap, so wouldn't prevent that happening.

I'm not buying this Milford fever dream that's being pumped on here but I'm thinking about it more than I imagined I would. Not starting with I'll see how he goes Rd 1

I'll stop short of calling you crazy but this is a guy who has moved around three clubs and never gotten a shot who is now going to debut on the bench due to a combination of injury and playing well in one trial game and requires an exemption to play... and without getting an upgrade into the top 30 will not be able to play next week when JMK returns

It's not impossible that he suddenly becomes the starting hooker for the dogs but it is very, very unlikely.

Honestly hope for his sakes that it does happen for him.

Long term 2RF average of 42, don't see it either

2RF outside of the elite all have a cap, nature of position but some don't see it. Can list some excellent players all in the same range of Capewell who go up/down a few points each year usually depending on how many times they score

Whitehead, WGraham, Kaufusi, Elliott, Garner, Kikau, Sua, Cordner, Hess, Proctor, Bromwich etc etc etc etc

I'm fine getting someone expecting a 45 but expecting an elevation past 50 is probably a bridge too far for me

Can't help but feel like he and Bird could swap roles. If that happens it's probably great for Bird but not great for Fui.

4 good scores as a starter in 2020 (with some interchange games in between them) trump multiple seasons in that position.

    Pros
    Playing in a better team
Last years scores under new rules that would boost scoring mean they may be more sustainable than looking at a longer term view would suggest

    Cons
Multiple year history scoring at around his priced average
Lack of confidence around job security and sharing time with Liam Martin

I don't have Milf and got burned massively last season, but there is plenty to back him in. Little to no risk outside of a wasted trade if he stays middling in the 30s

Last year was the outlier in his seasonal stats, Donkeys doing all they can to push him back into featured role. I think his scoring is tied to his KM base and I'm not sure it gets a massive boost but he only needs a slight offensive uptick to be worth it even if that doesn't come to fruition

Not like we haven't seen him slicing up teams before is it.

Look at Benji, good fantasy prospect for years, fell off a fantasy cliff and came back. Easily done

Was going to play around with Townsend to Milf thinking Milf was near 300k to upgrade somewhere else. Milf is near same price as Townsend! What are y'all on?

Based on what? I haven't seen his name mentioned once in the last month, but if you wanna kill your 21st spot in week 2, because you think a 26-year-old no-name rookie, that has only been selected because he's the last hooker standing, and wasn't even on the Bulldogs radar enough to be offered a development contract, is going to impress so much in the 20 odd minutes he gets that he skips the queue and gets offered a full-time NRL contract on the spot, killing the Bulldogs chance to negotiate with a free agent if the opportunity presents itself, which is why literally every team has kept a spot open on their squad, then more power to you I guess...

Milford can be brilliant, Townsend can't.
Wether it happens or not is the question, I'm seriously thinking of playing Milf, and he's burnt me before....

I dropped him reluctantly for reasons of balanced team but really don't think Martin is threat to his minutes. I think he's going to play 80 on edge and Kikau notoriously gets gassed

I'd settle for him getting a top 30 upgrade and the 14 jersey. Is much more versatile than Katoa, covers hooker, the halves and with Averillo there it means they have the whole backline covered. At $228k with his ability, could go ok. Scored 37 fantasy points in 20 minutes the other day, 2 line breaks and a try. He also shone in the earlier Dogs trial. Apparently Katoa is carrying a calf injury and Averillo is also coming in with an injury. Will be keeping an eye on team lists leading into the game.
