I think the gap closes slightly this year, but Cleary is probably still 10 points per week better scorer. With a little more pressure on Brown this year wouldn't be surprised to see Moses run the ball more this year and score a few more tries

I may leave Avo out also.  I don't see the appeal of him enough to warrant still starting with him.

At least they play early, so if Avo is out it's a relatively simple swap to Roberts or Opacic.

Feels like the swap from right to left is to try and free up Moses's game again, get him running a bit more. Last year he seemed to get bogged down just trying to be the organiser.

Arthur did an interview a few weeks back where he said they don't want Brown taking on any responsibility, but I reckon he was telling porkies.

He recently said they want Brown on the right to help his kicking game.

Reimis, then. DPP. Got to score more on Storm's wing than Dogs'. Can do all sorts of new things with the 14k he saves me from Hoy.

Probably gone in round 2 when Norman returns and they run with Clune at 14 (maybe?)

Griffin has carried an outside back for years. He used to do it back in his Broncos days. Often played 0 mins.

Sharks did it as well when they won the comp.
Rotated leutele and Beale there, then subsequently every game they were needed

Less interchanges, faster game so small impact players, more injuries (especially losing a back early) HIA’s , change to bigger minutes from forwards + impact player means less bench minutes needed

    A multitude of reasons really

Teams will be pressuring Luai more this season too - so the same could be said for Cleary

What does this mean? Who would he replace? Hynes?

"Young hooker Tyson Smoothy has been named in the reserves and could be a late addition to the bench before kick-off to make his NRL debut."

Been in my drafts for a few weeks. Storm wingers tend to score well and DPP is handy(didn't expect it)

Replying to myself that if he scores the same as Vunivalu he makes 60k and is a dud buy

I've been saying for years that every team should carry an outside back on the bench. It just makes sense when you see how many teams get fucked by HIA's and end up with forwards at centre getting carved up.

Obviously doesn't suit every team but you need some flexibility. Four forward (bulky ones) bench is madness these days imo.

Thinking about him instead of Averillo. He's playing CTR but does he replace Jennings when Lee back? Would like to have more than 1 player in first game of the season. Only 17pts at CTR in trial where they scored 5 tries and won comfortably isn't encouraging

Averages dont really matter though. All about timing.

Vunivalu hit 500k last year. You just need to hope for a few big scores (preferably early in the season, obviously haha), then you can flip.

If the timing doesn't work out, at least he is (probably) playing every week.

I’m trying to not run Cleary because I think he will drop a few points but till think the gap will be fairly large, especially if Brown kicks more, could free him up as you say but not sure it displaces the points. Think there is some better value

I think that Cleary will remain a much more dominant half than Luai (in fantasy terms if not gameplay) whereas Brown and Moses will share the load a little more.

Moses might still be OK given the massive price discount. I'd be comfortable captaining Cleary, but not Moses

    Turpin
    BSmith, Welch, Watson
    Crichton, DFifita
    Cleary, Lam
    Marsters, Averillo
    Tedesco, RTS, Laurie

    JBrailey, Liddle, Riki, Leniu

    Croker, Utoikamanu, Simonsson, Niu
