All the talk is that the whole pre season was spent on defense. Players have said they havent done much work on attack.

All well and good but fell away badly in the trial. Big worry if they also cant score points lol

Its a bit like training the house down though.

No team that sucked the previous year is going to say "our defense was actually pretty good, so we've been trying to come up with some slick attacking moves in the off-season"

Everyone was pretty keen on Milf early in the pre-season.

Then he got injured so we looked elsewhere. Now, as his fitness is confirmed everyone is coming home to Mama (that's what the M in Milf stands for, right?)

Can anyone confirm the magic number is 13400 exactly?

Just making some updates to the team planner. Not sure what I would do without this.

I’m trying to fit him in...based on nothing but gut and the old eye test I just feel he is going to step up this year and would definitely rate him over Host (who is in that spot at the moment)

Just need to find another mid I’m happy to play in 17 instead of Tino (who I’m not entirely convinced by) Looking closely at Leota.

If you want it exact, use 13399.92
That's about as accurate as I can determine it

edit: but the round 1 number will be different, probably lower

Gilbert suffered his tibia fracture ~9th Feb and typical recovery time is 6-8 weeks. Potential 1-1 switch with Hoy, which is making me consider running without Edge cover (Crichton on the bench covering edge and mid). @Mulvy do you think Gilbert will walk in to the cows starting lineup?

I'm personally not sold on Tino or Papenhuyzen but am going with the hive mind for safety.

Seriously I genuinely think goal kicking is just going to offset the slight decrease in attacking stats from Paps playing in a team without Cam.

I think RTS is going to put up just as good scores but don't know if I can go against the popularity of Paps if I'm wrong.

You and me both re: Papy. I just had a play around and can swap Milf + Pappy for Hoy and Matterson

Difference is Paps could increase to 55+ a year or stay around 50, not much downside, whereas RTS is stuck trying to break that 50 average with not much upside

The thing is that Papy is like 80kg. He is only going to get better as he plays. So much potential and I seriously think he could be better than Ponga (irl) soon

That squad is some weaponry. Interesting (and tempting) to see it on paper as I was thinking of putting together something similar, with all those hookers. I do not dislike it one bit.

    Post TLT team

    Koroisau
    Tino, BSMith, Watson
    DFifita, Riki
    Cleary (C), Brooks
    Bird, Averillo
    Teddy, Hoy, Laurie

    Brailey, Liddle, Lodge, Lam
    LAM, Leniu, Croker, Niu

Not to keen on Croker, but he's in the EMG
If Lam doesn't suit I can switch to Milf
No Edge cover atm, planning to pick up Gilbert down the track, or Kerr might surprise us.
After round 4 I'll work out what to do with BSmith and Hoy

I thought it was a fibula fracture and he wasn't out that long? New coach so hard to know. Reports were that he was training in the middle, won't replace the starters, but I'd be very surprised if he didn't nab a bench spot. Probably not ideal for fantasy if that's the case. I don't have any inside info though.
