Taukeiaho as a Roosters forward interests me, purely because if he gets 75% of the goals Flanagan got, but otherwise maintains his 2020 average, there's a 7 point increase to his scoring.

I think he can maintain last years workrate, and can probably handle the odd 30 minute game , made up for by a few scores in the 80s.

Priced at 40 for a long term hooker average of 43 (in 60 minutes)

Sure there is no bench hooker this week, but what about by round 3?

That said, he is still in my team

Yeah I agree, there are 7 hookers that avg 50+ points. And all those guys are experienced players except for Grant and Starling. Is Turpin at that level?

Turpin is pretty average tbh, his game is built around enthusiasm and effort which is why fans like him, but going 100 miles an hour has its negatives

Hes never been a big minute hooker, even in q cup. Id rather we had a bench hooker but Paix is pretty crap.

Kevy did want to start macca this year, that wasn't just talk

Transition to big mins will be interesting. I cant say no but he could be a bit of a dud tbh

Not happy with Gosi or Host as my only edge cover so I have had another look at Sitili and discovered he averages 43.4 when playing >70 mins priced at 36. Has upside for sure. Requires me going stefano or Gosi in the NPRs though which disgusts me

Any help with Capewell v Tupouniua?

Both round the same price. Rorters have only 2 edge players listed on the app (Crichton the other, with Fletcher Baker named in the 21 who I've not heard of), Cordner out for at least 1/2 the season apparently. What effect if any will Radley and Verrils, both middles, coming back in a round or 2 have on their bench/rotation and Tupouniua's minutes? Is he nailed on 80 till Cordner back?

Of those games, Sitili has just 1 score higher than 40 and less than 75.

He is a real rocks and diamonds player. Just be ready for the rollercoaster if you start with him.

Seriously considering running Teddy as my captain this week to try and get an early leg up. Think I might go through with it

Both have potential upside and some risks

Personally I'd rather Capewell, although I have concerns about long term job security.

That's what threw me off him initially but I didn't consider that he was going to play on Keary's side for 80 min (thanks MTB). This news also makes me less keen on Crichton.

1 thing which is tough on Sitili is the stats don't show how often he was moved to CTR, tough to gauge his pure 2RF numbers

I think he has significant upside regardless of the goalkicking, which is just a nice cherry on top.

Personally, I see him having Lolo-esque attacking potential and you get glimpses of that, particularly during his larger minute games but they seem too sporadic in the past, which by memory has been due to some niggling little injuries.

He was one of the first picked in my teams.

Really? I'm fully set on Angus. That warriors bench doesn't do any favours for Tohu whereas Crichton you should be able to guarantee 80 minutes. Also Crichton has a much better attacking ability on the edge and can break plenty of tackles. I feel like it's gonna be a huge year for him, IMO he was the best backrower in the comp in the second half of last season and to be honest probably still is today imo.

But obviously Tohu still a gun even if he doesn't play 80 and is lowkey a POD now

Crichton was weirdly looking like an odd fit at start of last season wasn't he? Big money singing, apparently struggling on Bondi being used off the bench etc but by end of the year was Starting every week and gunning it again. No Cordner, Sitili and Keigrahn likely to cover back injuries infront of him. Lock him in

Spent five minutes on my PODdy WAGs team, which I expect will outperform my cookie cutter main team. Still loads of common players on the bench but not many in the 13. Main qualifier was "do they have the capacity to go huge"?

    Call me Matt2.0

    Koroisau (c)
    Watson, Paulo, Tapine
    Tupouniua, Young
    Hughes, Lam
    Bird, Roberts
    Ted, Laurie, Mitchell

    BSmith, Brailey, Liddle, Riki
    Croker, Stefano, Averillo, Niu +68k

Just realised I (my wife) can go Stefano to Hoy and bench Laurie leaving $0k. Has to be done.

Wish there were some more surprises with TLs. Lots of teams converging. My team is looking pretty similar to most, was just messing around and came up with this though:

    Turp
    Watson BSmith Lodge
    Matto Fifi
    Cleary Lam
    Roberts Bird
    Teddy Laurie Ramsey

    Brailey Liddle NBrown Riki
    Avo Niu Utoikamanu Simo

Yep agreed. Without a few of the key players aswell he is one of the main guys to look towards for a bit of x factor, they just need to give him the ball. Also I've seen a few quotes and interviews from Angus saying he's in career best shape, no real injury coming into pre season and improving his fitness. It's actually funny cause I don't think I've owned Angus since that year at Souffs he went crazy so can't wait to have him back in my team, such a gun player to watch. Should be good fun

I sometimes use an exciting player factor as a decider if I'm torn between a few players and Crichton certainly fits that bill. Looks fucking massive as well
