Ofa had his best game in years. Fantasy score probably not sustainable with those minutes but should make some cash for owners. Unsure if minutes were affected by Tamou HIA, with Ofa not coming back until the last 15

Didn't realise Ofa played 43 minutes. Wow.

So, yeah. One trade, spend the bank. Croker to Milf.

I'm thinking of going with this exact trade - Croker was my Half cover, and he's a shit option. Milf kicking those kinds of metres, in a losing team is way too juicy at his price. Beer

Like Rhinoceroo said captain Cleary was reason most in here went 920+ that’s a single game captain score, there’s no ground to be made up this early in season, it’s all about decent line up and a good amount of the decent cows

What's the latest on Lodge? 1-2 weeks and I might even hold if I can find another way to run 17 next week.

Roberts and Averillo are my CTR's. They scored poorly but they're fit and both played in less than ideal conditions.

If I were to have learnt anything from last season, as long as nobody's injured the CTR position is the last thing for me to worry about.

2020: I wasted so many trades on centres, what a shit position

2021: My fit centre didn't score well. guess I'm going to trade him out.

Problem is he will be returning from injury and Haas will be back around the same time as Lodge returning.

Also I was tossing up between Lam and Townsend for my 446k HLF on the bench spot.

I wanted to go with The Chad but figured his long-term prospects weren't as good with SJ soon to come back. It's just Round 1 but I am beginning to feel that logic instead of heart was the wrong call on this one.

883 has me slightly below par by the looks of things

Main pain points came from Reimis over Laurie in my 17 and my centres combining for 31 points. Who would have thought a rookie fullback in a blow out would outscore an experienced centre in a comfortable Melbourne win by 36 points.

Only role concerns are with Lam and Gosiewski, but not too worried about Lam.

Cheap centre battle goes to Momorovski and Opacic, which was probably the most unpopular pairing.

My top 3 cheap mids in terms of sustainability are probably LAM, Ofa, Leniu. All 3 seem to have pretty certain roles, just don't expect the attacking stats every week

On the trade front, the Crichton suspension means I have to trade to field 17, since Crichton was my MID coverage for Lodge

Early stages looks like Lodge>Leniu or Alvaro if I feel like a gamble.

Probably going to want to own Tino, Fifita, Fogarty, AFB due to unexpected role, but probably can't be done without major surgery.

As always with round 1, how and why points were scored is more important than the number of points scored so I'm not overly concerned.

What is the price gap between AFB and Lodge looking like this week?

Edit: Nevermind should be about 299k which puts me 29k short of the trade.

I could Host to Leniu but at the moment that is only 26k. So unless magic number is kind...

Everyone complaining about the Jet scoring shit, not getting involved etc. From the limited game time I watched of the Tigers Raiders all they seemed to do was attack left. Not much he could have done.

Now Bird on the other hand he did get involved and had plenty of opportunities but played like absolute shit!

So glad I have both as my centres!

RE: bird, maybe wet surface played a role mentally. He was devastated missing the season last year. I wouldn’t be surprised if it will take him a few games to gain that confidence again

Bird could have easily scored 40+. Was denied a try that he was sure he got to the ground. Hard to see the defender stopping it with 1 hand under the ball. Was also given a knock on instead of turnover and try assist.

Spot on. Let them rage and wonder why they have no trades left come rd 19 though.

Anyone with Turpin just get downgraded from 53 to 49 points. Means I didn't hit 900 now.

Won't be open in time for next round if they're still reviewing Friday nights games.

Also on the centre watch, I thought the Bulldogs and Averillo were atrocious in the second half.

Just looked to see if it's open (it's not) and Turpin has gone down by four. So have a few others eg Alvaro. Can't be sure without remembering the exact scoring but maybe they've done a fresh sweep of turnovers.
