Nah, the point was exactly what i said it was. A one week low score from Cleary is not that that important in the grand scheme of a 25 round season, when he is owned, and captained, by a large portion of serious players.

I realise it will help you and/or others pick him up 50 to 100k cheaper but that's not a game changer for the entire competition

The other is career 40 point guy currently priced at 560k of the back of a few tries. 7 scores of 40 or under while playing 70+ minutes as a second rower in 2020 from 10 games...

Probably won't get him, but it's not crazy to think he keeps this up. Has 12 70+ minute second-row games now and has scored 6 tries. So running at a 50% strike rate so far. Small sample obviously. His avg metres are also up from 60 to 90 so far this year.

Disclaimer: he's been a flat track bully with tries against Dragons, Warriors, Broncs x2, Manly and Tigers. But the Roosters don't have the worst draw with Warriors, Sharks, Dragons coming up wedged between tougher games against the Rabbitohs & Storm.

I agree on balance that he probably misses out and has a few 35 games, but if he can continue to avg 60 across the next 3 before those floor scores come, he nets 150k.

Yeah but one is Tariq Sims the other isn't

Sure but the only thing that has changed slightly since preseason is his run metres. We knew he was starting second row, we knew he had a soft start playing Manly and Tigers, we knew he scores tries pretty regularly as a starter. I see it ending poorly for everyone who wouldn't consider him in preseason, but now willing to pay an extra 80k because he scored a few tries. Screams of chasing scores

Also not seeing many options to replace Davey with 33k spare only seeing Alvaro as an option currently!
