Re: Rd 3 discussion
Supposing Schuster gets nod as popular trade it leaves options probably being gamble on cut price keeper as 2nd trade for Tino
Tino + Davey to Schuster + max 646k - probably leaves Jackson as best bet (sideways Tino trade??)
Tino + Lam to Schuster + max 735k (maybe better chance at cut price keeper - Barnett?? or Mr 54-56 who is now Mr 52 in Jurbo). Use Davey as loop

Cheers Camo, Davey (or Averillo?) -> Schuster makes sense to me, but I’m not sure we need a second trade.

Yeah was struggling to think of decent options
If you can't see immediate trade, I've taken lesson just to hold

Obvious that Davey has to go. The other problem players Jele mention aren't loosing to much cash so maybe save a trade. Tino a worry for next week maybe.

Davey - Schuster. Reckon he is there long term be it Foran injury during Siro sideline stint or starting over Go when he returns

Re: Rd 3 discussion
Davey to Schuster would give us up to 391k as an Averillo replacement
Alternatively Lam to $540k or Turpin $644k
Another option is hold Davey for a week for looping and Averillo to Schuster. Not great options as Manly play 2nd this week and first next week. So probably not worth it.
Are there any big money players we think we want?

I have serious Luai vibes about Lam, has literally had to do nothing and at his base, even his tackling has been down a bit because the Chooks have been unbelievable and attacked weaker right edges, it will even up, not to the extent where they half the playmaking but he will get some
Turpin another I'd like to wait on, all hookers have their low tackle days and his previous low in 80 was 49 so a fair bot of cash in him if he can bounce back
I like the single Davey - Schuster trade

I think a single trade. The one mentioned already. Davey to Schuster.

Davey to Schuster
I'd be inclined to hold Tino. Averillo to Alvaro is the most vanilla but cash-generating option. If trading Tino or Turpin then I'd be inclined to iPap.

Hard to argue with everything above on that trade.

Probably could hold the second trade and look at Lam and Tino again. I wouldn't be against trading either of them though.

Davey - Schuster and Turpin - Kenny (Assuming Api is another 4 weeks away).
Turpin trade is sideways but will make money, can upgrade Tino next week if he flops again.
Otherwise, Tino - Jackson.

Re: Rd 3 discussion
We probably want to play Crichton as starting MID, as Leniu and Stefano idealleyin 18-21
So do we want to try and get an EDG in as cover?
We can rely on Fifita+Riki playing, and hopefully having enough notice to sub Crichton onto bench if required if either of them are a late out

Re: Rd 3 discussion
I like the additional Tino - Jackson trade above Milch in addition to Davey - Schuster
Not sure Tino can match action lock Jackson and the additional EDGE could be gold when Riki peaks and can pair Jackson with Critchton as EDGE guns without being forced to pick an edge player for Riki.

Re: Rd 3 discussion
Schuster is primarily a half though. So if Foran stays fit do you really see Des giving Schuster big mins in the back row flogging his developing body? Des has already said about B. Parker playing some second row til Curtis is back.Welshy wrote:Davey - Schuster. Reckon he is there long term be it Foran injury during Siro sideline stint or starting over Go when he returns

Parker is absolute horseshit to go with Gos. Des at the point where he has to start playing players on ability with squad numbers dwindling
Kid is huge, and I'd back him in and comments about Parker to likely keep media off him playing Schuster at edge

Re: Rd 3 discussion
I don't mind the double switching cow option (Davey+Averillo -> Schuster+Alvaro). Will actually cost us $21k, but should help with some cash generation in coming weeks.
Either that or just the one trade (Davey -> Schuster) to build some bank ($100k) for next week should Tino, Turpin, Lam need to be moved on.
I'll put a poll up now.

This is the week for Tino to Jackson, get a 20 point upgrade to a keeper dual, non-origin player for $50k.ice_berg86 wrote:Davey - Schuster and Turpin - Kenny (Assuming Api is another 4 weeks away).

Its like getting Harris or Yeo early last season.
