If you think for example Sterlo moving from Toowoomba as a baby is the same thing as Greg Inglis signing for Melbourne Storm/Norths Devils in Yr 11 of high school, more power to you.

To me that shows you probably don't understand State of Origin eligibility rules.

The Tamou and Uate examples are exactly why this argument is a nonsense. The only difference in state eligibility between them and Taumalolo is that they choose to represent Australia and Lolo chose to represent NZ/Tonga.

You could easily unlink state eligibility to national eligibility and have a much better contest that includes players like Taumalolo while still excluding players with no links to Qld and NSW

It’s more I don’t give a shit about it. People only focus on one side doing it when both sides are as bad as each other

Tele reported it in the same article the reported Verrills out for 6 more weeks.

    If legit, the reshuffle is:

    Hutchinson to hooker
    Manu to five-eighth
    BMoz to centre
    Ikavalu to wing
    Lussick to bench

Just my 2c imo Hutchinson & Lussick swap...I watched Lussick & he's good & gets stuck in.

So , what’s the GO with the O’Sullivan Lad worth having a stab at? I know nothing about him or his scoring potential, job security moving forward- but looking at him in preference to the Walker boy who I’m not going near any advice would be good advice , Cheers 🍻

Pretty good JS for SOS with CHT injured for 10-12 weeks

Bit hard to know scoring potential, probably around 40 mark. Can discount a few of his TBs he got because 2 were from Raiders knocking each other out

Walker with the extra 100k bank might score around 30-35, but again unknown scoring potential. Probably similarly decent JS with Lam injured 6 weeks and Keary season

Fark sakes. I picked up Lussick cause I knew Verills would still be a while off and now he might not even start, hurtssss. Guess that means I'm playing Walker as 17th man then

I actually agree with you - I just don’t get why people get riled up about the sanctity of origin eligibility now when letting someone like Lolo play makes more sense than a bunch of stuff that’s happened before.

Do you think Walkers JS is likely to be under threat in 4 weeks when Keighran is due back?

I think they view him more as a utility rather than straight as a half

I think he's a good pick-up, should be better than Averillo or Lam. It's just that this week Schuster and Walker rank a bit higher on my priority list.

I'm not an Aussie, so making the Origin rules more flexible would only help me as a Kiwi, but I'm still not into it.

It's a fucking awesome product, and yeah I wish NZ had an equivalent but we don't. Australia doesn't need to bend its product to accommodate everyone else. The NRL itself is Australias competition.

But I also don't really care about international footy. I never like it when we need to pause the NRL for test matches, I'd much rather watch the NRL than an international. I'll watch them, but give 6 me the NRL any day.

Taumalolo has already played for the Kiwis, then bailed on the Kiwis for Tonga, then wants to be a Queenslander. Fuck that.

If you want to grow international footy, and that's what you really care most about, then more top players need to prioritise their country over money and build on what the Tongans did. But as a Kiwi, I do not want to see the likes of Taumalolo in our jersey every again.

Realistically, the likes of Tonga, Samoa, Fiji can't even provide international standard grounds and broadcasting. Tonga play their home games in New Zealand. I just don't see international league as this big thing to grow.

I see League more akin to the US sports, the NRL is what it's all about, international stuff is a clear second. I don't want to weaken the Origin rules for that.

Mbye has been granted permission to talk with rivals for next year. Shame it couldn’t be this week.

Bit stuck. Can go Tino to any gun under 785k, but the two most obvious candidates in Moses and Matterson will be cheaper in the next fortnight.

Thinking about Tino to McCullough. It's a no-brainer right? Clear upgrade to a R13 gun who might still be underpriced. Or is it worth waiting one more week on Tino? Leaves tenuous EDG cover (would have to start Stefano and move Crichton).

Looking at splitting my team into keepers/guns, cows and mid-rangers. I think I did this roughly this time last year (which thoroughly backfired as I suffered every injury under the sun)

Are people considering Brailey & Watson as keepers or just cows that have got off to a great start and will be future upgrade
